The game auto detects the graphics settings to medium. My suspicion that that was wildly optimistic is correct as I've seen flip books with a higher frame rate.

LOL this feels like 20FPS on Low settings at best.

I think I will pick up the Honeycomb Yoke and throttle assembly for this (and x-plane, ect). I already have the MFG flight pedals which are pretty bloody sweet.

Limmy has a top-of-the range Ryzen, 2080 Ti and 64GB RAM and he was even struggling to run it near 60. It dropped to 9fps when he was flying over LA.

the honeycomb does look very good compared with the saitek yoke.

I dunno about MSMF2020, played it a few times and it just feels more hollow than FSX :|

Glad I tried it on gamepass and didn't buy the £110 edition - that would have been a real let down.

I have tried it on gamepass as well and it promising, and while it is pretty we should get some community stuff coming through soon. MS need to hurry up with some news regarding updates/ fixes.

FSX did have like a decade of modding updates.

gooseberry fool, someone has done the Ed force one livery for the 747.

Oh dear. My GTX970 and 8GB RAM never stood a chance.

I hope we can get updates every 6 months or so for the Series X as they optimise the game.

Amazing. I'd love to.see this tech in a Skyrim type exploration game at ground level.

Is the Xbox watermark trying to imply that's from the Xbox Series X version or just that it's made by Xbox Game Studios?

I did a fly by of my house which was unimpressive tbh then flew to Loch Lomond, which was even more uninspiring...

perhaps I am expecting too much from this game

Yeah, I think if you go into it expecting accuracy in details, you'll be sorely disappointed. Specific landmarks such as the Houses of Parliament (though not Buckingham Palace, oddly enough) have been recreated, but everything else is AI generated buildings. And the placement of those isn't the best, either (check out Land's End, you won't be disappointed). As a flight simulator, or just something to have fun flying around with, I don't think you can get much better. Except if you want to fly through Tower Bridge. There's some funky collision detection there.

Having had another jump into it today, I've found myself enjoying flying between destinations on manual and sweeping across fields, using Google Maps as a reference for specific locations I want to be going. Taking off from a small airfield I can't remember the name of in Cornwall, I flew up to Minehead, across to Brean and West-Super-Mare, then accidentally followed the wrong river into Bristol. Jumping to Saint-Mary's Airport on the Isles of Scilly, I flew into Cornwall via Land's End, and 'landed' on Saint Michael's Mount. After that was the trip around London, then a journey between Baltasound of the North Isles to Whitehills in Northern Scotland, which I let my co-pilot handle so I could see how to do a proper landing approach. To finish off, I went to Los Angeles International, and attempted to use what I'd learnt to land at an airfield in a poorly lit area outside of the city. At night. Wasn't that far off, either.
