It's amazing to think we're at this point in graphics where stuff like this is possible on home machines and I'm not sure how we can make any more giant leaps in visuals from here. I suppose we always say that but in this case with the pretty much photorealism and the sheer attention to detail that the developers seem to be putting in it may be a Crysis like benchmark moment.
The visuals have always been pretty good in flight simulators. I've been playing flight sims since the very early 1990's on the Amiga. We thought back then the graphics couldn't get any better that they were in the Microprose simulators, but as hardware improves, then the visuals always kick on another gear.
I must say, the visuals in this upcoming game are about as lifelike as I've seen. I'm sure the game will run to a decent standard on the Xbox One X. I'm hopeful the Series X can really show off what it's capable of with this game.
