Exactly.

I'd let it go man. Some people on here just aren't worth debating with.

and who they are depends on which side you're on it seems.

I dream of a world where people can like things without it being to the exclusion of all others.

but nope, not happening is it.

Yeah, the cloud saves on PSN are great. Being able to go round a mate's and boot up a saved game is really freaking awesome. Glad I can do it with 360 now too.

So do I, my friend.

Back OT really looking forward to playing Halo CE Remake. I know it's 10 years old but I really don't care, just have so much fun playing it.

Gears also looks amazing.

Do you often contemplate the complexity of life?

Wait, where'd this come from? Because that's actually pretty awesome.

Microsoft's confirmed cloud storage for Xbox Live, via a statement released after its E3 press conference.

"Here at Xbox Live we listen to your feedback," said service VP Marc Whitten in a statement. "We are making it easier for you to sign into your Xbox Live account from any console at any time to access your game saves and full profile, including items such as Microsoft Points to make purchases, Achievements and friends.

"Cloud storage will allow you to enjoy the same great Xbox Live gaming experience even when you're not in your own living room by giving you the option to store your game saves securely in the Xbox Live cloud instead of on a portable memory unit or your console's hard drive.

"Gone are the days of gamertag recovery. Now all you need to do is sign in, no matter where you are," he said.

Also slyly announced for the Xbox online service are 'Beacons'. "We want to make it easy for you to connect with friends over your favorite games on Xbox Live, so we are introducing Beacons to the service," explains Whitten.

"Beacons are a way to tell your Xbox Live and Facebook friends that you want to play a game on Xbox Live. By setting a Beacon, you tell Xbox Live what you want to play. Then, Xbox Live lets you know when friends are playing or want to play the same game.

"With Beacons, no matter what you're currently doing on Xbox Live your friends know that it's ok to ask you to play your Beaconed games."

Is cloud storage a "premium" feature like on PSN?

It'll surely be a Gold-only feature.

That doesn't seem likely if they are completely removing gamertag recovery.

The 'beacons' feature seems like a really great idea.

Wasn't checking through 50 pages to see if a funny GIF had already been posted.

Two thirds of the ones with him in have been poo.

All of the ones without him have been great.

I don't see what a lot of the complaints are about. I only read the updates on twitter and on here but it appears that MS showed a lot of their big hitters and a new Halo series (who's making that btw).

I suppose a lot of people knew all this stuff was coming already so the lack of surprises is a bit of a bugger but if you're a fan of what the 360 produces it seems to have been a satisfactory conference.

For me it produced nothing I'm interested in, admittedly I'm coming from a very 360 apathetic view point so am pretty biased but I still would have liked to hear about something that made me think 'wow that's cool'. Still maybe I need to see some of the stuff in action.

You really need to watch it.

I think both Halo games managed a minute and a half of "footage" between them.

Kinect dominated, with most of it being dross.

It's been over 6 hours since the MS conference started, but of all the shitty scripted acting I can't get that weird sketch for Kinect american football out of my head. It was simply strawberry floating awful.

Probably been mentioned, but what the hell happened to the new Alan Wake?
