This again presumes people have 5G coverage.
Where my nan lives in a small town just outside of Lowestoft the mobile reception is terrible and we can just barely sometimes get a single bar for a mobile signal if we put the phone on top of a tall dresser in one particular bedroom upstairs :slol: .
I'm sure this isn't all that uncommon for many small towns outside even major urban areas like Lowestoft which is next to Great Yarmouth so has loads of tourists and thus should in theory have at least decent reception.

Again I would argue though that the sheer size of day-one downloads for a lot of new games today, even with a disc, the industry and publishers alike aren't overly concerned how fast gamers BB connections are across the entire country - particularly in small towns and villages in the middle of nowhere where outside of tourists the majority of residents are probably retired and/or in their twilight years and who don't "Xbox".

It seems that the console will launch on 7 May.

Eurogamer wrote:A fresh Windows Central leak has detailed the final release date for Microsoft's still under-wraps disc-less Xbox One console, named the Xbox One S All-Digital Edition.

The digital game only console will arrive in all current Xbox markets on 7th May, the report states, with three of Microsoft's biggest games already pre-loaded: Minecraft, Forza Horizon 3 (yes 3, not 4) and Sea of Thieves.

If the rumours are true, it seems that the console has the same casing as the S model, just without the disc drive. I was kinda hoping for a redesigned, smaller unit. I wonder what the cost will be?

Might buy one, depending on price.

It'd be really cool if it was smaller, but I'm not sure.

The existing models:

If the mock up is accurate, it looks stockier than the original S.

I guess we can't put too much stock on that shot as the packaging and imagery used is not official; it has been mocked-up by Windows Central and based upon a leaked photo.

I was really hoping they'd give the engineers a challenge and see just how small they could make the Xbox hardware but oh well.
