I think his road to world cup 94 bit is one of the funniest partridge moments.

That's my colour system, you won't find that with fifa, just with me.

I like S1 of I'm Alan Partridge better than S2, but I think the 'sex people' sequence might the best thing in that show. There's so many great lines in that scene.

Yep World Cup 94 is insanely brilliant, definitely up there.

Incidentally it was voted the best Partridge moment in a recent poll apparently:

It's a worthy winner but the rest of that list is missing some real crackers

Don't rub ya fanny on me!

To digress to the thread topic though - I didn't like This Time. Being the presenter of a prime time show, given his history, just didn't seem likely. It just wasn't "Alan" enough. MMM was much more like it.

I liked it, but you are right, MMM is better. I must rewatch that.

I never quite fell for MMM, but it's still solid Partridge that's for sure.

Intro/trailer for series 2 of This Time just dropped:

Can't wait! :toot:

It was alright. The tumbleweed in this thread suggests it wasn't well received.

Much like the previous series, I found it mostly meh punctuated with moments where I'd roar with laughter.

Alan's knees cracking. Telling Lynn she made the right choice of hip material due to her age. Pissing off the monks. IT'S NOT FOR YOU!

Yep, it was littered with subtle moments that made me chuckle - just Alan being Alan. Really enjoyed it.

Oh lord I was in stitches at the very audible crack from Alan when he knelt down.

I'm not sure it's the right sort of show for the character. This Time seems too high budget, they would have been better off putting him as a host to some kind of newsnight style program.

Having said that, I'd rather have this than no partridge at all.

Sidekick Simon is still fantastic though.
