Cardiff would be the closest venue for me. Will someone compensate me for the cost of crossing the Severn bridge though? I refuse to pay out of my own pocket to visit Wales.

The bridge is free now. No excuse :capnscotty:

You haven't had to pay to cross the bridge for more than two years now!

Which is good because I do it every strawberry floating day!

I hadn't actually clocked that they were going on sale today :fp:

My brain is still in lockdown mode so I can't really comprehend going to live events again!

You would be absolutely fuming if Jamiroquai came and sat right in front of you.

As for the series, I think it has been great, with some of the best ever one liners.

However, I do think it lacks some of the pathos of some other series, perhaps because there is no interlude into his personal life. It's all based around the studio dynamics, which are by their nature quite false in the first place.

So, without that anchor, it all becomes a bit like Alan's greatest hits, or getting him to say the stupidest things you can think of. The Chemsex bit was brilliant, for instance, but might have benefited from some more straightforward bits around it, such as him fretting about to do a proper journalistic piece first.

That said, even if it feels a bit like a Partridge tribute act, it's still one of the best things on TV imo.

I'd like to see Jenny fall ill just before one show and have Alan host the entire thing, with it being a complete car crash.

I get the impression they are setting up Simon for a bigger role as well.

Could be some good fallout from that.

That was the season 1 finale. Jenny refused to come on because she was angry with Alan so he and Simon hosted the show.

The way Alan just airbrushed that RAF woman out of that Spitfire segment so he could basically have a jolly for himself.

And asking the other guy (“Roger”) how she must have felt, while she was just in shot at the bottom of the screen.
