I thought it was excellent. I think the bits that people found jarring were very much meant to be jarring. You were meant to feel as he did: not quite up to speed and very much out his depth.

It also contained some all-time classic moments - the touchscreen, the toilet routine, Clunt/Fluck, the seals, the giraffe mask (which some viewers may find disturbing)...

Also, the performance of his co-host was subtly brilliant. She was growing very slightly more annoyed at him with each passing minute and managed it very well.

I didn't mind it. But I prefer to binge watch Partridge.

So I'll no doubt watch them all again once they've all been aired. Like a strong cheese, it needs to mature.

I've not watched it yet. The lack of innuchi is worrying though as most of the best partridge was from him.

Just watched it. Enjoyed it. The part where they’re watching the video of Jean washing her hands and the noises he was making during it was the funniest point for me. When she offers a live demonstration, “we mustn’t”

Watched it last night. I liked parts of it. The bit where the woman wouldn't agree with him was funny.

Not on your life.

She is unbelievable forced.

Partridge was gold.

Cunk is truly awful. How the strawberry float did she even get allowed to live beyond a throwaway out of Screenwipe?

It's like Barry Shitpeas turning up to present Newsnight.

Can't bloody stand Cunk. Used to fast forward through her sections on Brooker's Screenwipe. Literally one of the least funny 'comedians' on TV.

The Gibbons brothers also confirmed in the interview they have just filmed a Comic Relief sketch featuring Alan, to be broadcast for Red Nose Day, on Friday 15th March.

Good news.

Just threw up a little in my mouth. :dread:

Pleased to see more Partridge is on the way. I enjoyed episode 1 of This Time even more on a second watch and so I'm hopeful that the remainder of the series and anything else we might get next is still going to be high quality.

Cunk :dread:

Watched this the other night and thought it was ok. A few funny moments like clunt and fluck, with the best being Simon trying to operate the touch screen.

I don't like the way Coogan does the partridge voice these days where it's this overly posh pronunciation of things, which seems out of character with the way he was on KMKYWAP and IAP.

Really enjoyed that episode. One thing I missed initially was the guy falling off the end of the top row when Alan asked them to budge up.

The funniest bit for me was the audience member who kept coming to the studio obsessively. That conversation was gold, and the punchline was excellent.
