Yep, second episode was classic Partridge. The guy from The Detectorists was also superb and I can't get enough of any segment with Sidekick Simon.

The bit where he did the voiceover of the monkeys had me in tears. "I hate you mum"

He sat behind me wearing Speedos. Started out like a vase, ended up like a wide ash tray.

COCKSUCKER.

All of sidekick Simon. "I'm not doing another one"

Yep, that was frightening to behold!

Really enjoyed it again tonight, some great moments. The sniping between Alan and Jennie is getting hilarious now!

Episodes 2 and 3 have been a lot better than episode one, I’ll definitely be binge watching the series again once it’s over.

Only watched the first episode of this, it was quite disappointing.

I think episode 1 was intentional. Alan was supposed to be a bit out of step and out of his depth. But each episode he gets more confident and you can see its going to end a bit like KMKY. This week's episode was the best one yet as classic Partridge in my opinion.

So many fast little gags I missed like a pic of Michael during Alan's photo reel bit, then a stencil drawing of him followed by the pregnant women and then a pregnant orangutan!

It's definitely building to something. I loved that they got the two regular audience members back for the "Panel" part at the end.

The panel bit was excellent. Alan's exchange with the guy about getting hit by his wife because of the cigarettes!

The mixture of bonding/undermining going on between Alan and Jennie is just hilarious now, they nail the gooseberry fool kind of atmosphere that must exist between presenters. Alan still remains the king of being able to say the wrong thing as well ("I'd like to tickle your pink!", I know from friends with large gardens that Scottish people can make hard workers" )

The interview with the Scotsman was genius - eh! :D

Both of the VT segments were excellent this week, especially Alan going vegetarian for a week.

I nearly died at the "tickle your pink" line.

The interview was good. Especially since it was Jonathan Watson who's a well known Scottish TV impressionist/comedian, but beyond "Only an Excuse" at Hogmanay we don't tend to see him much.

I like the subtle things dotted around that you might not notice, like Lyn wearing the same BBC standard issue beige high heels that most female guests on BBC breakfast wear (to the point where I'm sure that's a private joke going on).

If this series doesn't end with Alan saying A HA on the BBC again I'll be gutted.

Another great episode.

Well, I can attest there are six in all, I’ve seen them, and the best, potentially award-winning stuff, is yet to come.

Just remembered another great throwaway bit - the picture that gets flashed up when Alan name checks Morrissey:

Oh, and the references to that gardening gear that he's obviously being sponsored to mention!

EDIT: And I can't believe I forgot the whole bit with Simon losing the picture again.

"What choo looing at!?"

Finally, someone with taste. ;)

I heartily recommend her book, Cunk On Everything. I listened to the audiobook at work, and looked a complete psychopath having full-on belly laughs whilst stood in silence on my own.
