Take it outside folks, this Cunk funk is stinking up a perfectly decent Partridge thread!

I watched this weeks episode again earlier to see if there was anything I missed the first time round.

This time I noticed at the end of the bit where he steps behind the pillar in the school wearing his normal clothes and then steps out wearing the school uniform, you see him reappear on the other side of the pillar in his normal clothes again.

Bits like that, whilst admittedly funny, are some of the small criticisms I have of This Time so far.

Errors on a live show are one thing but the idea that something like that would stay in on a pre-recorded segment are too much of a stretch. Similarly the person in the street you can hear swearing at Partridge in the segment from episode 1, that would just have been cut, re-shot, or sorted in the audio mix.

It's by no means a deal breaker but a tiny bit annoying in my view!

Just watching them for the first time and it’s quite good, just watching episode 3 now and the interview with the Scottish man about youth unemployment made me actually laugh out loud

I loved the interview with the fella who got hit by his wife.

Or was it his ex wife. I couldn't follow it. I was laughing that much.

Not as good as the second one, but still good. School boy Alan :dread:

Amazing stuff with a good amount of Alan as the final guest. Audio quality isn't great but it's still brilliantly funny.

Wish my image sig would work

Didn’t think much of the Comic Relief bit. It came across as a pale imitation of spike-foot.

Still quite hit and miss I think. The phone call with the centenarian was rubbish for instance.

Definitely hit and miss for me. Still entertaining mind, just not very consistent.

I love it, but there are occasional misses. The fizzy water burp was just way too exaggerated. It’s probably a good sign that it’s tiny things like that which are at fault, but you do wonder how they made it into the show.

Sounded like Coogan was doing that part too.

Alan Partridge to return with podcast from Norwich shed

Alan Partridge is set to return with a podcast produced from his shed.

Steve Coogan will again take on the role of the Norwich-based DJ for an 18-part series titled From the Oasthouse: The Alan Partridge Podcast.

The podcast will unveil a "more reflective Alan" as he tries to attract a young and diverse audience.

"All national treasures have a podcast", Partridge said. "If David Dimbleby has one, then of course I needed to make one."

"With this series, I want to give my fans an intimate view of who I really am," said Partridge.

"You may think you know me, but trust me, you have no idea what goes on behind closed doors at my podcast innovation studio."

The full series will be on Audible from 3 September while a free episode will be available on Amazon Alexa between 6 and 12 June.
