Excellent news! I re-watched a whole load of Partridge content over the last few weeks and it's still so damned good.

I was worried that I would be more negative toward "This Time" on a second viewing as there was always a chance that I enjoyed so much initially because it was the first new Partridge TV content for a long time, but it holds up really, really well!

It is a classic (as is pretty much every minute of IAP series 1)

Only problem now is that the episode has been somewhat sullied by featuring Glinner. :dread:

That whole series is incredible, so many funny moments. It's a shame series 2 of IAP was nowhere near as funny (imo), it had it's moments (that was classic intercourse!) but it felt very forced and one liner based.

I like your thong!

Yeah it's vulcanised rubber which means it won't perish.

Yeah IAP 2 is definitely a step down, when it originally came out I remember being so disappointed after the 5 year wait from series 1!

That said each time I've re-watched it since I've come to like it more, it'll never be the classic that series 1 is but it has some real highs and even at its worst it's still enjoyable.

This is a romantic tribute, to the lovely woman over there with the orange hair, and a cigarette in her mouth.

I absolutly adore Alan Partridge. I love pretty much everything he has done bar the movie oddly which I just didn't think worked as well.

I thought Season 2 was great with him in the Caravan and his wife.

I would put Alan Partridge up there with the best of British comedy, on par with Faulty Towers etc.

Unfortunatly my GF is a filthy foreigner, so doesn't get a lot our humour. Faulty Towers - Not a single laugh. I had to turn "Planes, Trains and Automobiles" off after 30 mins as got annoyed that she didn't find it funny! :slol:

No way am I sullying Alan Partridge on her.

Broom her etc.

IAP series 2 is still better than a lot of comedy, it's just that the first series is so damned good that it set an impossible level to match up to.

I also used to say this all the time when out trying to meet women with my mates.

Frankly I'm amazed I ever lost my virginity.

As I grow older, (I'm 41 now) it becomes clear that I'm turning into a blend of Alan Partridge and Mark Corrigan. For so long, quotes that were just deliberate references to shows are now just my honestly-held opinions.

Robert a bit slow on the uptake there, don't know what he had for breakfast. Presumably an infected spinal column in a bap.
