Minecraft Earth An augmented reality game for iOS and Android. If you can build creations in public places I predict giant boobs and willies over famous landmarks - brilliant! It could be bigger than Pokeman Go. Also, it could be a artistic way to cyberbully people by making negative creations and messages outside their houses. But beside the bad stuff this could be so great. It also cements my belief that AR glasses are coming and they are going to become a standard that everyone is wearing.
MINECRAFT YOUR WORLD The world of Minecraft enters our universe in a whole new way thanks to the power of augmented reality. Create, Explore, and Survive like never before! Sign up for a chance to be one of the first to play, receive updates about the game, and get your free Earth skin. An all-new augmented reality mobile game! Picture the scene: you’re walking through your neighbourhood and see a patch of grass. Grass is lovely and all, but you see this patch every day. It’s getting a little dull and is practically begging for a talented builder to brighten it up. So you take out your phone and craft a beautiful Minecraft build on a nearby picnic table. Then you place your colourful new Minecraft creation on the real-life grass.

Build even better by teaming up with other Minecraft Earth players. You can craft amazing creations together. We can’t wait to see what you come up with! Survive! You’ve just used the power of augmented reality to bring the Minecraft universe into our universe, making it a bit more block-tastic. Nicely done! Also, er, how did you do that?
AR/VR glasses for outside use will only ever take off if they look exactly like normal glasses or sunglasses. Nobody is going to want to wander around in something like Google Glass as it makes you look a banana split.
The game will be available in beta on iOS and Android this summer
Adventures will start off conservatively, and players will walk up to the rough area that Microsoft has designated a place to play. These will mainly be placed nearby where people are often collecting the tapables, and it will be up to the first few players in that area to decide exactly where an adventure gets placed. Once it’s been placed enough times in a safe area, it will persist for new players to simply walk up and start interacting with the adventure.
Microsoft is starting carefully at first without user-generated content being freely placed into the world, and then it plans to figure out how to get this content into Minecraft Earth in the future.
Microsoft’s gaming chief Phil Spencer was the first person to experience the initial prototype last April, and Persson revealed the pair were thrilled to be firing off fireworks in Minecraft Earth during a lunch hour outside in the rain while colleagues walked by oblivious to the future that Microsoft is building. Microsoft now has months of work ahead to get Minecraft Earth ready. Like the millions of people playing Minecraft right now, Microsoft still has a lot of crafting to do to bring holograms into the real world.
Minecraft Earth has just been demoed on the Apple stage at their WWDC conference. It was super-cringey like the old days of E3 but also fascinating in showing what can be done.
It starts of with two offbeat Mojang staff playing an AR Minecraft building that is Lego sized on a table - similar to that demo that was on the Microsoft stage 2-3 years back. But then they make it giant size! The new iOS software is able to 'paste' the woman in front of the live objects. At the moment it means to play this you have to hold up an iOS device to see the AR world, but once again it shows that the software is being developed and that with time the glasses will come!
Venom has had another thought about the future, LARP! Live Action RolePlaying Games. No more home-made bow and arrows,
When the AR glasses are standard a DM will be able to create a dungeon for players to interact with, maybe with Minecraft Earth but certainly there will be new product that allows you to do this.
