I wont be about but it is a good idea, we could really do with a solid source of sand and I would like some cactus so I can start up a cactus farm.

I swapped out the lamp posts by my house to a different way it will use the same amount of torch's I think but will light much better, the lamps look cool but I don't think would produce enough light to cover the road area around it.

I've lined that section with how I would do it which is a torch either side every 7th block it's means there is plenty of light and such :)

Yeah the lamp posts are Place holders just now and I've got plenty more to make so that's cool.

make sense.

Lamp posts can be a pain int he arse I've never really found on I'm happy with the closest was the glow stone on a fence pole but even that wasn't epic.

Torches on the road is the simplest and less visually obtrusive and provides as much light as a lamp post with 4 torches as there isn't a block in the middle blocking light sort of thing.

We could do fence fest posts with a torch on top, that could work.

Yeah that might work as well. I'll look at them more over the weekend.

Really wish the Switch version was out. Would be great to play during my lunch.

Any one got any objections to be building the store house opposite my house, it may block part of that valley that is there but I will add a door and stair way to it in the store house ground floor.

The building is going to be a combination of cobble stone, glass and wood in some sort of pattern. I'm going to build it at 4 floors for now so will be roughly 19 blocks tall but as we need more storage I will build more floors on top, not sure on width yet, kind of want to be able to put something like 30 - 40 double chest per floor for us to store stone, granite, gravel etc. basically a big store for all the common rocks and things you pull by the tonne when mining.

Sounds good to me. Look forward to it.

Delved deep under my house the other night and ran into a Witch and some huge crevasses. Found a source of Lapis as well as a little bit of Redstone. If anyone else wants to poke around in there feel free as it looks pretty sweet. I've lit up most of the areas I've explored but there's still plenty of parts I haven't had a chance to look at yet.

This is finally working again, I like the little roads to each house. I think over the weekend I'll head off exploring.

I'll probably be on a bit later on tonight. Been distracted by SNES Mini and other bits and bobs.

If you're playing any of the versions that received the better together update, then we've got a realm.

If you're on the Java version, then the server for that is still active I think, but I've not got anything to do with that.

Minecraft: Dungeons is being created by a small and dedicated team in Stockholm, Sweden. This has been a passion project for them, and is inspired by their love of classic dungeon crawler games.

But let’s get specific! What exactly is Minecraft: Dungeons? It’s an all-new action-adventure game inspired by classic dungeon crawlers, where you’ll constantly discover new weapons and items that will help you defeat a ruthless swarm of new-and-nasty mobs. You’ll fight or flee through canyons, swamps and – of course – mines!

You can brave the dungeons alone, or team up with friends. Up to four players can battle together through action-packed, treasure-stuffed, wildly varied levels, all in an epic quest to save the villagers and take down the evil Arch-Illager!

But as the old saying goes 'one announcement trailer says more than a rambling blog post ever could'. So without further preamble, here's that trailer:

Minecraft Dungeons will be coming to PC in 2019. Check Minecraft.net/dungeons and keep a close eye on @Minecraft on Twitter and Facebook to stay updated!

I've been meaning to download the updated version of this for the Switch, so finally did.

It also reminded me of the Realm I've been banging on about in my sig for the past year or so. I've re-subbed it for another 30 days if anyone want's in and if there's enough demand I'll keep it going.

EDIT: I will add that being able to move between the PC and Switch version of this, picking up exactly where I left off is very cool.

Though I don't like the new water Zombies. :dread:

Uhm... not so sure about this aspect, though. People running across the street whilst looking at their phones? :dread: .
