Some relatives of mine are quite into the whole minimalism thing, becoming progressively more so over the last few years.

This is what their lounge looks like:

I do love a tidy space and there's no doubt that I would probably feel very chilled if I lived in a space like that but it's just not an obtainable goal with three kids tearing the place apart every five minutes!

That room would last seconds before my lad destroyed it.

Exactly - it's like a giant empty canvas waiting to be "customised" in the way that only a tiny mind knows how!

I wonder if they turned that flower just-so before taking the photo for maximum social media penetration

I bet they have a pure white fibre-optic christmas tree with white tinsel too, the soulless vampires that they are

(sorry if you like these relatives Jen)

A room like that looks lovely and all, but where's the personality? It looks (and feels) like a hotel room. It's all very... bland.

That looks lovely.... I'd like my living room to be like that!

But with a TV and PS4, obvs.

I think I'd like it, more or less. I might be tempted to add a bookshelf.

I would definitely need a few more splashes of colour and technology in there myself but I do like the general vibe they are going for!

Just to confirm that they are lovely people with vibrant personalities! Oh and I think they would probably die at the thought of having a white fibre-optic christmas tree OR, but I must admit I am not aware of what their Die Hard time household decoration is like.

I’m sure they are lovely people but are they the sort that are ridiculously proud of not owning a TV?

They are not vegan and certainly used to own a TV last time I visited! It did use to be where the 'rug armchair' is now though...

I bet they have a compost patch and grow their own vegetables.

That looks strawberry floating miserable, like a bleached flower.
