Yes my companions and I found nothing but herbs and plants at the end of the maze, sounds like we had a pretty mundane location compared others!

Dearest Paula, who would thou be nominating for the lynch should one become Mayor?

Now here I was trapped on an island with a bunch of strangers, some of whom wanted to drink me dry. I just hoped I could get out of there before the bar got drunk dry too.

I really like the game design element of being able to protect a second person at night, at the expense of their ability. Adds a really interesting dynamic.

@The Count - Outside of PMing an elected mayor in a secret ballot, are we still prohibited from sending PMs to other guests?

This is stated in the rules but I'm happy to repeat as it's important.

Unless I tell you otherwise, you can only PM me or a mayor in a secret ballot lynch vote. And you can only PM the mayor your lynch vote. You can't have a conversation with them.

I would nominate the fellow who soiled himself during last night's pre-drinks and perhaps Will Rogers on a complete whim.

Actually scratch that, I would nominate two of the other people who went to the poker room with me. I feel like a vampire may have come to the poker room to behave as of they were finding the body alongside me. It's a classic "I don't know anything about a murder" excuse.

Well, this isn't what I expected from the promised week of debauchery, of course it had to be vampires. RIP Ali, we hardly knew ye.

If you make me mayor tomorrow, I shall nominate Tex Gull and Warren Rice on the hunch that a vampire went to the poker room in an attempt to appear as though they knew nothing of murder.

There was a trip to a hedge maze and I missed it!? What was it made from? Yew, boxwood or perhaps yaupon holly? I've yet to have the luxury of tending a maze.

Well I can't say I'm too keen on this "Paula" lady, if that even is her real name. Seems a bit trigger happy without good reason and doesn't exactly put myself or Tex in a position to defend ourselves.

I went along to the poker room out of genuine curiosity (and to find a good cognac), there were already enough people heading to the basement, attic and maze so that was the logical choice for me. If that makes Tex or I suspects then I'd also cast aspersions right back at Paula - she jumped at the chance to visit the scene of the crime when 2 people had already volunteered, she's just as questionable as Tex or I.

Just to assess lay of the land, these are my current assessments. Would hope that we have a better grasp on all of this by the end of day 2 or 3:

CURRENT UNKNOWNS

- How many Vampires are there?
- Are the Vampires aware of each other?
- Can the Vampires communicate privately?
- How many people can the Vampires kill per night?

CURRENT INFORMED ASSUMPTIONS

- Based on this evening's investigations, we can assume there will be events with a mix of positive and negative outcomes for the village
- We can assume the outcome of these events will be privately disclosed to voluntary participants
- We can assume that our ability to PM will be unlocked through one of these events

Vampires being real had certainly thrown my view on the world off-balance, but some things never change - like how a bottle of scotch and two glasses is a sure way of making friends. Warren seemed like a good guy, although I wondered to myself if the mansion's reserves might last longer without the competition. Luckily I wasn't one to speak my thoughts out loud, or to confuse tenses.

I was still reeling from the vampire business when Miss Pruitt started throwing accusations my way. Just another scared stranger caught up in this mess, or a vampire sowing the seeds of confusion? Either way I had to be careful. Still, she moved her suspicions elsewhere quick enough that I didn't have time to respond and accidentally draw more unwanted attention.

I'm all for the discussion anyway. Better we make a plan and some people take charge than us just lying back and being picked off one-by-one.

We can assume based on evidence given by a search that there are 6 vampires.

1 person died tonight so we can assume that they can only kill one or maybe that's just on night one.

We can also assume given the count says unless said otherwise you can't PM that they can PM, because they'll have likely been told in their role PM they can PM.

Good evening fellow revellers. I must apologise I was somewhat occupied with festivities elsewhere tonight. But I am here and have examined our new rules.

Jolly well done to the search parties, you're all far braver than I.

Steady yourself Henry. Now is the time for sober minds!

I have a bottle of Covonia which will suffice.

You're correct, I am just as questionable as you and Tex. But I wouldn't lynch myself now, would I? Right now, we can't trust anybody, we must question everybody.

Ali did pop in for a couple of drinks in the pre thread. This seems to be a genuine player killed.
