That's about the extent of deductive work Kurt Barlow got up to in the game.

Thanks for running the game Mori, I realise I complained quite a bit throughout the game at various points I just got way too heated.

Good game all. Well done Humans and Seers. Whoever John was is MVP for my money. On the losing team sure but played superbly and took the game far further than it had any right to go.

It was my first time as a Vampire/Wolf etc. I feel I may have been the weak link in the team perhaps by trying to overcomplicate the strategy. Initially encouraging the Vamps to not go after players who would almost accidentally end up being useful for the Humans. Although the Roy killing was irrelevant in the end for my demise, in hindsight knowing PM's were only 12 hours away anyway, killing him was definitely the wrong move. Sorry to my fellow Vamps if I hastened our demise.

Thanks very much Mori, really appreciate a game during the festive season which helped distract me from other stresses. Think there's probably some stuff to learn from how this played out but you're definitely in the top tier at running these. I used to not be in favour of alias accounts but think it worked well here.

Merry Christmas one and all

I was really hoping that it was me, Moggy and Kezzer left at the end again

As a normal villager with no special roles I found it a very fun game to play. Roy recruiting me didn't change much until he died. I was pretty sure a vampire he recruited had killed him but didn't know names, so I was very pleased with the bluff I came up with to try and get them to reveal themselves in the thread. It didn't make any difference in the end but I think I was able to use that to be trusted when I was a lynch target. At the same time the uncertainty of the cult kept me suspicious enough to avoid vampire kills.

Thanks to Henry for taking me to the panic room on the last night. I'm sure I'd have been killed otherwise.
I do think it's unfair that we lost two players that night. We'd had the game sussed for a couple of days by that point and being a bit late with lynch candidates is understandable when you only have a one hour window and it's close to Christmas so everyone is busy.

Anonymous accounts is a big win as I got killed day 1 last game.

Yeah that was we my doing last time, sorry.

I do realise that this makes me a hypocrite as I would also personally like each game to be judged on its own merits rather than "X acted like this when they were a wolf" or "X was good in that last game" etc.

No surprise you got to the end with an alt account though (I promise I won't kill you again Day 1 if I'm a baddie, honest...)

Good game everyone, after a bunch of us vamps were seered, i thought the game was up there and then, but despite a number of us getting lynched, me (Randolph) and John Pizer kept things going for way longer than we ever thought possible (i made sure to create plenty of noise and distraction so that he could remain hidden), and were able to pick off most of the top players during that time as a result.

No worries, someone has to die first. On day 1 when you having nothing else to go on then you are naturally going to target players that did well previously.

Anonymous.accounts solves that, but I also like in some games when the wolves are forced to only kill inactives for a few days.

Really wasn't sure whether to stick it out on this one but as Roy had told me all the names in his second message I saw no reason why he wouldn't tell others too. Alas it was irrelevant in the end for me.

Yeah I was a bit annoyed that he had given you my name but not told me about anyone else

The use of anonymous accounts worked brilliantly, and i hope they will be used in future games.

Woop! Merry Christmas everyone!
Pleased to have won and made it to the end. Apologies to Moggy and Ironhide for not getting you there, was a bit annoying at the end when we'd sussed everything out and then had nothing to do. Would have been good to try and accelerate the ending rather than having to post at a specific time just before Christmas.
Excellent work Sat and good on Parksey for bringing the win home.
Cheers most of all to Mori for running it. Loved it with anonymous accounts as you don't know what to expect from anyone, although as Parksey said it does make it more difficult somehow to ascribe actions to people.
Interesting role, not sure how best it was to play it but it did allow me to confirm Drummy as team village. When I found out there was another coroner I worked out we could communicate privately via our notebook but just as I had confirmed that with the count Drummy was outed and PMs were enabled
The pentagram really changed the game for us so we essential we got a human in and glad we did. Would have liked to perhaps play the whole game without full on PMs but given the Cult leader and Preacher died early on that might have affected the humans too much
Good game!

Thank you all for the kind words.

Some notes from me:

1. In terms of balance yeah activating PMs at the same time as pentagram was a mistake. If I was going to offer PMs I think I should have waited at least another two days after the pentagram. As Hypes says the cult leader and preacher were supposed to be the alternative to mass PMs but they died too soon.
2. Very happy with the alt accounts, I really think this is the best way to play the game on this forum now. Everyone can play without any preconceptions.
3. I really wish the cult leader had been able to use his mass suicide special ability. His win condition was a vampire victory and at any point he could make every human member of his cult kill themselves. Vampires in the cult would have survived and this would have basically given the vampires a human traitor character.

Late to the party (Christmas life) but just wanted to say a huge thanks to Mori for running the game  I had a blast, as always. Great little twists to the format and my hijinks with Drummy in the panic room were highly entertaining .

Pretty obvious the pentagram was a bit too wild in terms of balance. It felt like whoever got control of it had a golden megaton and circumstances at the time took it firmly out of the Vamps' hands. Nothing could stop us from that point and if it wasn't for the pretty unique Vigi-bust (great timing by Pedz) and Moggy falling foul of the strict rules we would have taken a record-breaking lynch combo all the way to the end.

Love the alt accounts but also agree with those who say it makes it difficult at first to remember who is who. I think we should use those accounts next time, so the names are more familiar up front, and call out any ridiculous "well last time X was a Y" theories for the nonsense they are.

I know there is a growing movement against PMs but I urge anyone thinking that way to look back at any previous 'no PM' games...

I do think no/restricted PMs has more life in it yet, the last two games have had more much in thread activity as a result which makes the game far more interesting for everyone, I can understand why "normal human" players often lose interest when there quickly becomes little of value happening in the actual game thread because the key players are all running the game from PMs
