I feel like it could be a lot more fun in a team since you can manage tools better. I can see it being hectic with more difficult waves later on if you go solo. All in all it's a neat idea to change up the pace.

Just a heads up for any hammer users, switching from blue to yellow stance gives you a free full charge which lets you get some insane DPS during stuns.

Fully charged meteor slam is just

I don't think there's a new monster design I've seen so far that I don't like.

I can't really tell which ones are new, other than the ones I've seen in world

Quick question - how are you meant to farm monsters in this?

They just have they're individual contracts.

Is there anything like World where you generate random missions with combos of monsters/rewards/difficulty/locale?

Rampages are randomised and you can get a lot of materials from those. Expeditions have various monsters continually appearing with an infinite time limit. Repeating specific quests is pretty normal too though, there are combo hunts starting to appear where I'm up to.

Meowcenaries will get you materials too.

As far as I can tell you just do their hunting quests like in the old games. Generally more rewards from capturing and part breaking ig
Expeditions are an option too but they probably don't give as many rewards

Oh that’s a shame. You ended up deleting billions but at least felt like there was variety in what you fight and where.

credits done. - pretty early too it feels. But then 5* unlocks loads of new monsters.

Hope a bit more of a challenge - but then it seems longsword is beastly in this.

Honestly while it was good for grinding it was a bother to keep remembering to delete them

All the weapons seem really good in this game.

Like before with the hammer you had to get a stun so you could get a big bang combo off if you wanted some big damage.

Now you can just sneak in the meteor slam silk bind move after they whiff an attack and it does about the same as a big bang combo fully charged

I didn't really get on with the longsword in the demo though, I found it hard to change the direction of the counters so often monsters would move and it'd wiff. Also if I remember correctly the sheath counter would only counter moves if they weren't very powerful, ain't got time to learn what the game considers powerful or not on every monster

Started this today. Not sure how they made the tutorial so painful. Still I'm into the quests now and it's bloody brilliant. I hated that demo but I am really enjoying this so far. Going with switch axe but will also use the demon blades and possible bow later.

Rolled main story credits yesterday. Took roughly 34 hours while I took my time. First time I ever legit teared up with MH. I've become so attracted to Kamura and its cast. I love this game. Also Taishi is my son, I will protect him with my life.

Slight story spoilers but I found it painfully ironic you are handed down Fugen's Longsword because it's a weapon I've decided to retire from after IB lol. Created a headcanon where my hunter Rhia was like "uhh...thanks, ill just uh, leave over here in the corner >,>"

Of course, this journey is far from over. Still learning so much about SnS and loving this weapon more and more. Slight gripes with the counter/parry mechanic but I've learned you have to pair with back step to make the most use of the weapons offensive capabilities. When I'm in the zone it feels incredible. Gonna try and craft every SnS available before heading into High Rank. Not fussed on armour sets and builds either atm, but currently using one that gives me 4 levels of guard.

Been busy the past few days but getting back into it. I left off reaching HR6, and a side-request asked for some somnacanth material; rather than doing the same hub quest again, figured I'd return to village quests and do the village somnacanth. I'm only at 4 star village quests and wow it was SO much easier. The somnacanth did barely any damage, didn't need any items and cleared it in under 10 mins. So now I'm wondering if I've buffed myself up too much from hub quests and ruined village quests lol.

The difference between village and guild seems noticeably bigger in this than it has been previously. I also think it might be the easiest Monster Hunter yet, I've only carted once so far (but it was Rathalos so I'm happy he had the honour  )

It's definitely easier and a lot less frustrating. I'm 14 hours in and still using the switch axe. The invincible dash and hit skill is very useful and the feel of the weapon is really satisfying.

I almost failed my first quest to that Rathalos >,> Being the first time I've ever fought him with SnS, it was like a whole new learning experience which was fun.

Seen the end credits. That was short but sweet. Obviously a lot more stuff to do but they came out of nowhere. Last hunt was a good one though.

If you're talking about what I think you're talking about that's not even halfway through the game. It's so weird they put them there.

I killed the next level of monsters and I'm still not even at high rank yet

That's good to know. It's a very weird place to put the end credits.
