The amount of tutorial info it throws at you at the start is overwhelming for sure. Rise is the only Monster Hunter I've played, and after a while I just started skipping through them if they weren't about fighting the monsters themselves. There's so much in the game I don't know about and subsequently don't do which would probably make my time with the game easier, but I'm satisfied with my experience so far and the challenge the monsters provide, so tbh I would advise not to worry about all the tutorials too much. A lot of it is optional extra stuff to help optimise your build and material yield, but it's really not necessary if you're just looking to enjoy the game. The main part of the game is fighting the monsters, and I think the game does a good job of listing everything you need to know in stat pages anyway, and everything is pretty easily accessible or easy to stumble upon.
If you go to the buddy plaza, there is a boat toward the back that takes you to the training area. Here you can practice combos and general wire bug movement. I don't know if you have to visit it first before you can do this, but it's also easily accessible just by holding minus (back on Xbox, select on PS), and selecting 'training area'. I would recommend messing around with weapons here, seeing what feels fun to use, and what combos you can do (it should show which buttons to press too). Then at least you're familiar with the weapon before fighting monsters so you can focus on optimising your ability and strats. The only issue with the training mode afaik is you can't test things like counter attacks. Though if you perform a move and it seemingly does nothing to the dummy monster, you can probably assume it's a counter attack.
