Nothing announced unfortunately. The first game was on DS and got a rerelease on mobile so that might happen.

Very highly recommend for fans of Monster Hunter and Pokémon.

Definitely this; it's a lot of fun and looks gorgeous.

We're taking it slow, just on last quest in Loloska. Would liked to have got the first Stories 3DS game for my son too, as he's enjoyed this so much, but it costs a flipping fortune!

Hit the credits last night at 71 hours. Really great game and I very much enjoyed the finale. The post-game is substantial to the point of almost being overwhelming, much like the first game, and I'm not sure how far I'll get into it, but I still have 2 6* quests and a bunch of 7* quests I'd like to complete so I will play some more. I reckon it's at least another 20 hours of content (10 hours per rank sounds about right), but I can hear NEO TWEWY calling me away!

It's rare I play a JRPG through to completion so that's praise enough for Stories 2

Just beat Fatalis at 105 hours, which is as close to completing the post-game as I care to get! I've also completed every subquest bar two (unless more unlock) - 100% completion of the monsterpedia (I'm at 93%), and getting an Elder Dragon egg (I've hatched one in the past but I don't want to farm for rare egg rolls). Trial quests I did through to 7* but I haven't done the 8* trials or gone back to gold rank any of the previous. I've not touched the multiplayer except when I got my palamute.

The post-game starts fun with a Pink Rathian and Azure Rathalos but then has quite a boring stretch of high rank versions of monsters you have mostly fought before. Once you break through that into deviants and elder dragons it's good again for the variety. Basically in the Elder's Lair (the post game dungeon) levels 1-2 are good and levels 7-9 are good, but you have to push through those middle three. 8* and 9* subquests run alongside that.

I've now unlocked a special version of the Elder's Lair which is... just the Elder's Lair repeated, but harder. I'm happy calling the game done there, I know there are a few monsters I haven't fought and the multiplayer side is where the new content is coming but I'd rather move on and play some other games now!

Well done! Sounds like quite a lot to do post game!

Pretty sure we're on the last boss and I'm pretty sure we're underleveled, which is making it a bit tricky.

Nope, we're only halfway through the last area. Once we finally beat the Nergigante obviously realised there was more :fp:

I'm sure I'm almost done now. I only have 3 9 star quests to complete, but I need a pink rathalos for one and I have no clue where to find one. Pretty sure I'm missing a couple of monsters from my monsterpedia too. I want to complete all the quests, I'm so glad I'm almost done now.

I'm currently after luminous stomachs for a quest and so I'm in Terga going into high rank dens. All I keep running into though are iodrome after iodrome, and I'm not high enough a level yet to skip the battles against them. I find them so annoying. It's my own fault though, I'm not using a monstie with stealth as a power.

Luminous stomachs are a bit annoying, just make sure you have luck charm/prayer on as I think that boosts rewards rarity. Altaroth will spawn with emerald congalala so yeah do as you are doing by farming high rank dens in Tegra.

Are you going to do the special elder's lair or multiplayer quests?

Yeah I'm looking for them and only getting iodrome in the last 4 dens. It's driving me mad. Only 3 stomachs to go though! :fp:

I've done zone 1 so far of the elders lair, but I wanted to get the last of the quests done before I went any further. As for multiplayer, I'm waiting for my mate to have some spare time to play. Last time we could only do co op quests as I wasn't too far into the game so we couldn't do much. MHS is one of his favourite games so I want to have a good couple of hours for multiplayer with him!

It took a few attempts as I think we were under-leveled, but, managed to finish the main story at the weekend. Have to say, I enjoyed pretty much every minute; and, it has so much charm.

Started on the post game and, yup, this is where we are at ie the boring stretch. Looking forward to getting on to the elder dragons and may also dabble in the multiplayer a bit.

I think its worth it for the deviants and new monsters to come but yeah hopefully you don't find the repeated high rank drags too much!

Just 2 zones to go in the Elder's Lair. Been leveling up and catching a lot of deviants; even got an elder! (Kirin). Also been doing the mp co-op quests. It's still good fun (90+ hours in) and there are a good few I want to find yet. As you mentioned already, the postgame content is pretty substantial! Haven't even really got into getting the best gene setups. Just throwing in what I think while trying to get bingo's.

Nice! The only elder dragon I caught was Nergigante who then went into my team for the rest of the game. I think I got lucky with that egg as I never saw an Elder Dragon egg again (hence not completing the one subquest that needed one).

I did similar with bingos too - I spent a little while stacking bingos on my team during the postgame, but never went as far as trying to optimise it or plan it properly.

I've found a few elder dragon eggs, the only two I've hatched have been the same! I'm going to get back into the end game once I've completed the main story of NEO TWEWY.

Just beat Fatalis and unlocked the repeated Elder's Lair this morning. Got 100% of the Monsties and up to level 62. Playing a good bit of the mp/co-op really helped with both of these. Really enjoyed it, despite getting a little grindy for a bit. Haven't gene'd out my best Monsties, but, like yourself, I'm happy to leave it there; until the next update drops at the end of the month at least!

Nice going! You got more done than I did, think I was at something like 93% monsterpedia (not for lack of exploration!). Co-op quests sound like the way to go then - I do appreciate you can still do them solo with AI.

Yeah, I solo'd some of the them when got fed up waiting on particular dens, to get the last few remaining Monsties. Though, I don't think I would have been able to solo Kulve Taroth; the guy I got paired with was amazing and carried me to the win :D
