Its still has issues matchmaking on Xbox which is frankly ridiculous of Capcom to have a deal with Sony to not test the Beta on an Xbox.

You can play with friends though so it's not a massive deal just that SOS flares aren't answered as frequently. Although It worked last night. I alternate between the massive heavy sword and my bow, both are good but the Bow is too weak if playing alone, as a support weapon though it's brilliant. I've been helping my 7 year old kill her monsters and it's quite fun. She's rather adept, I mean I warned her that it's very complex but she was stopping to sharpen her blade, and jumped onto the monsters back a few times to my amazement. She over does it at times and tries to take on the massive T-rex things and dragons so I have to keep telling her to stick to the task at hand but she's having such a good time that I'm genuinely surprised.

I love when 2 monsters get into a barney it's genuinely stunning to behold:

Bow isn't that weak - I've soloed to HR29 with it (First time on each monster solo, then co-op for farms )

You have to focus on weakspots (and Crit Damage/Crit Chance) and dodge a lot - and pay attention to enrage/tired to decent dragon pierce chances.

But yeah Turf Wars are fun. We saw an Ratholos pick up, fly up, and slam an Anjarath the other day for 3k

Bow and great sword are pretty much opposites, bow is never going to approach great sword damage. With the bow you're constantly attacking (and picking your moments for some high damage dragon piercer), whereas the great sword is all about single massive hits when the time is right.

Is there a PS4 squad btw?

Yeah but all the social stuff is a pain in the arse.

Haven't touched World in weeks due to being busy with other work. But now I'm a bit more free I have a ton of catching up to do >,> One week in real life is like a whole year in the world of MH. Y'all are fiends.

Up to the final boss now. Died twice with help from randoms. Will probably take a break when I finish off the final boss and play Shadow of the Colossus or Bayonetta 2.

The last few monsters have been a real pain even with help.

Now to farm massively in co-op mode

Finally was able to play this again last night (hadn't played since last Thursday!), so now I'm finally high rank.

The Zorah Magdaros quests continue to be garbage. Monster Hunter needs to stop trying to do scripted quests, they don't work.



But yes I definitely love this game otherwise

I didn't even know there were stalactites tbh. Didn't find it that bad a quest though, the magma bursts are reasonably telegraphed (there's always a bit bubbling up just before the big wave) but seemed a lot easier to block than dodge so can see why it'd be annoying if you weren't using a shield weapon.
