Definitely, I've found that I've been playing far less than on handheld, partly down to having to share a TV with other people and partly because it's just not as quick to jump into. Longer loading times don't help either.
Other thing I miss is a goddamn pause button. Sure it's not exactly feasible for online but I don't see any reason not to have one for solo/offline play.

I think pressing the home button pauses the game if you're offline.

There's bound to be a proper Switch MH at this point and I'm hyped to eventually see it.

I hit past 100hrs the other day and in that grinding phase now. Had been farming for Nerg armour to make a Lance set. Speaking of, the Lance is so damn good in this game good lord. I didn't it try out in the beta since I wanted to jump into World as blind as possible. But now I regret holding out on using it for so long.

I only need one item to finish off my build dual blade build, but it's a dual blade stone that only Tempered elder dragons drop. So that's fun.

I might give the charge blade a look as everyone seems to be using it, also the great sword looks... Great.

Yeah, I don't think there is any dedicated pause option which sucks. Not having any kind of proper offline mode is pretty disappointing tbh. One time I accepted a rare investigation quest to farm which only had around 3-4 rounds. Game randomly disconnects and cancels quest to go offline. Which resulted in that round being essentially wasted "">,>

I've now fully researched all monsters and I'm at HR 99, currently working on making more builds and getting for random stuff.

How do I unlock all optional missions? As I have finished everything but there are still some which are complete in blue and not red, which I read means I have still to find some.

Damn nice work

There are arena quests for every (I think?) monster at low and high rank that only unlock when you capture said monster. I'd guess you're missing those, the game is bad at making that clear

I'll capture every monster and see if that sorts it. I've hit level 100 and done the final quest it unlocks. Replay value and general value for money in this is amazing. Probably the best balanced game I've ever played. The fact that every weapon is viable for every monster shows how much work has gone into it.

They go for the "overpower everything then everything is balanced" philosophy. Looking at my friend doing his glaive bullshit just make me wonder how that's fair. Meanwhile I'm casually dropping 1k hits in some cases with my greatsword and he's sickened.

It's great.

Speaking of greatswords, the new wyvern ignition looks like a whole new level of disgusting.

Considering there is no G rank it's impressive how much post game there is (even if deco/tempered farming sucks). Plus with DLC we might potentially get monthly updates that will keep you coming back. Speaking of, the Spring Festival begins tomorrow too.

Finished my Nerg Alpha set and my lord it's pretty OP, especially paired with Lance. Currently trying to finish upgrading the Guard Charm but need a damn Vaal Gem. More I hunt this thing the more frustrating it is ">_>

I don't think I've posted in here at all yet.

I'm 150 hours in and currently on the tempered elder dragon farm cycle. Been playing Heavy and Light Bowgun for most of it but I've started to try new weapons which makes the game feel fresh again.

I've never played a MH game before but this game is truly amazing. Can't see anything beating this as my GOTY.

I did the event quest this morning and built the new great sword. Exciting times indeed.

Only brought the Passionate Gesture and one of the sticker packs just for the Third Fleet Master >,> I feel inclined to get the blossom set even tho it's not that practical.

I picked up the sword since I'm a GS main and it's really solid and now I'm working through the events I missed. Did the Street Fighter, Vespoid, and some Horizon ones with a friend so it went pretty quickly. Other than that, the daily bounties give crazy armour spheres if you're wanting to make multiple sets so I should have plenty of blossom tickets for the outfits.

Been away all weekend so will get to try out the spring fest some evening this week. What are all the unique things that have been added so far? I have the wiggler head, kulu ya ku head and horizon stuff

-New greatsword from "Every Hunter's Dream"
-The sunglasses are back from "Flash In The Pan"
-The eyepatch from "Scrapping with the Shamos"
-The butterfly/beetle armour for opposite gender from "Vespoid Infestation" arena challenge
-"Down the muddy path" Street Fighter event is unlocked for everyone now
-Blossom armour (high and low) for bounty/login tickets.
-Crown event quests in each area
-Tempered track farming quests

Think that's everything else, off the top of my head. The site I checked earlier is down. Megaman and Devil May Cry stuff dropping later, iirc.

Cool thanks. Gotta get that eyepatch, I think I missed it. Not sure I am bothered with most of the others

Now that I'm understanding the loop of this I'm absolutely loving it. It's so deep yet still forgiving to noobs like me. Digging the hammer it's so satisfying bouncing it off of the heads of things. Finished the anjanath set, might work on baan next cos it looks cool. So much to do.
