I don't think the likes of Anthem or Evolve can count. They're absolute wank, but they were so high profile wank that they're both pretty stand-out in their failures.

absolutely not, stop asking this wrote:ToeJam & Earl: Back in the Groove

This saddens me because I played it and it was actually really good.

Some of the games in this thread I didn't even know came out. There was a mirrors edge 2?

Ironically, Remember Me was completely forgettable.
Naff story and knock off Arkham combat that was nowhere near as good as what it was ripping off.

The Order 1866 is a good game. Very good looking which is very impressive for an early PS4 game. Doesn't overstay it's welcome.

Buy it you fools.

If it ever came out as a plus game, I'd definitely play it.

It's strange that it hasn't yet. I think Knack as well.

Thinks Metal Gear Survive is a "hidden gem" but doesn't rate Remember Me :dread:

Remember Me is great. The setting and characters are really well developed and it has a lovely art direction. The combat is an Arkham clone (although with the create-your-own-combos that are a little too wasted) and it's perfectly serviceable, just like the Uncharted style platforming. The memory sections while infrequent are very cool and almost like a 3D Ghost Trick. To me it's a lot like Enslaved: Odyssey to the West - obviously derivative in gameplay of several other things, but still with its own identity when all brought together and very good nonetheless.

A new challenger approaches!

Crucible - Amazon's hero shooter that came out, was immediately ignored by all, was taken back into the lab for a few months and has now been shelved.

Do companies look at the graveyard of live service games, hero shooters etc and think "Ours is totally different to those and will become the next Big Thing(TM)! Please accept our roadmap of future plans and recommendations of our paid Twitch sockpuppets."

They're making an MMO that isn't meant to be too bad.

I can't decide if I like or don't like the fact that they're willing to work on a game for 5 years and then just cancel it.

It either shows that they're commuted to releasing good games only or that they're so fickle they will bow out the second things aren't making as much money as they'd like. I still haven't gotten over Firefly being cancelled so if it's the second they can get to strawberry float.

So forgettable even the first mention of this news was forgotten (although yours is obviously the better post)!

But yeah, classic tale of "the product's actually pretty good but we don't know how to market games". Like other megacorps Amazon steamed ahead thinking they could just plough into the games industry with zero experience (coughStadiacough). As it turns out, making successful products in a complicated and highly competitive arena requires more then Budget Lex Luther's bank accounts.

Amazon didn’t make Firefly. It was 20th Century Fox.

In terms of what i've played it deserves to be The Outer Wilds but it seems like a large portion of players disagree with my assessment.
