Since no one has posted since 2015, and my bike recently passed its first MoT :toot:

I thought it would be a good time to create the Motorbike Thread 2.

Firstly a big thanks to Preezy for the original motorbike thread which you can view here: Link

Would love a cafe racer or a scrambler/adv and my next biking goal is to get to a track day to really experience what the 675 is capable of!

Now. Show me yours :capnscotty:

Thanks for the acknowledgement, Kezzer. Sadly my motorbike dream is on the shelf, lack of funds and a young family :(

nice one Kezzer!

i got my CBT March last year.
ive currently got a 2015 KTM Duke 125 - i dont think i actually have any pics of it so heres a stock. mines like that but i have a different exhaust on it.
done about 4500 miles in the last year.

i want to pass my A licence (im 30 so no need to do A2), and then pick up a bigger bike in the next 6 months or so. completely undecided on what to get next. currently bouncing between the Yamaha XSR750, Husqvarna Svartpilen, or the Royal Enfield Interceptor
post that i want to do a motorbike tour of Japan!

I did have a Triumph Speed Four but the brakes snapped and I crashed into a McLaren a couple of years ago.
I miss having a bike but don't have time/money/space for another one right now.

oft! so long as you were alright Sats!

With any luck you will be able to get into again in the future. I honestly don't know what I would do without being able to get on the bike.

@ Preezy, thats understandable mate - with any luck there will be a Harley Davidson Forty Eight for you during your midlife crisis :P

Nice KTM! - always liked the sporty look, and even at a 125cc i'd imagine its still bags of fun!

I really like the look of the Husqvarnas. This review of the Vitpilen 701 makes me want one so bad

The XSR750 looks cool too, has a sort of retro vibe about it without being as retro as the Royal Enfield.

Out of interest what draws you to the enfield? If I was going for a retro bike i'd probs choose the T120 bonneville :shifty:

Oh nice, I will need to check his video out, usually like his stuff especially the bike care/maintenance guides.

I just purchased my first mod for the bike:

Should clean the back end up nicely, also going to remove the rear foot pegs as well.

After:

Also removed the rear foot-pegs. Should only be a 5min job to put them back on if the gf decides to have a go :datass:

 you're not wrong, I'm planning it already. Actually saw an Indian Scout today and it was gorgeous, given me an itch that needs scratching so I've been fantasy shopping this afternoon. She will be mine, oh yes, she will be mine

I (in a car) was followed home tonight by one of the mean green Ninjas. (Don’t know the model. I’m not up on Kwaks. Always been a Suzuki guy.) Anyway, it didn’t overtake me, on two long straights, with no oncoming. I was bloody livid.

I've been pondering about getting my motorcycle licence for the past couple of months, obviously would need to do my CBT first and as I've never actually rode a motorbike and I might not actually end up enjoying it but something about riding a bike does appeal to me. No idea what bike I'd fancy down the line though, obviously wouldn't be anything too powerful to start with......

Cant ride the bike back. Breaks are strawberry floated. Minimal damage to me

Coming off a roundabout in the middle lane for the M25, both left and middle go into the slip road, guy in the left most lane pulls out without looking, skelping the left of the swing arm and sending the bike into a tumble.

Have lost the breaks and the right mirror and some damage to the engine casing and exhaust.

Will have a full post tomorrow with pictures.

8/9 lives left :dread:
