I didn't drop out, I was just at the back a lot. :oops:

If I didn't feel as gooseberry fool as I did, I would have stayed a lot longer. The light from the TV was too much for my eyes so when I got disconnected, it gave me an excuse. Also explains why I didn't use my headset, croaky voice and constantly coughing wouldn't have made for good conversation.

Well done to Team C. Hardly surprising though, seeing as they had an extra man for half the season.

I wish the wife didn't get in such a strop over me playing this until late in the night

I missed playing this with you guys. The months I played were epic lols though.

I've came a long way since my days as a n00b. Glad that I could pick up a winners medal before the end of Pacific Rift.

Had a great start to the night and was all over it. Then I did gooseberry fool in the latter part of the normal tracks. Picking up minor points or no scores. Then the DLC hit and I was all over it again scoring 4 wins. Didn't think I'd finish 4th overall but just shows how competitive a night it was all the way down the grid. Finished where I've been targetting in the singles championship so couldn't be happier with that.

Beating Darren to the last ever competitive finish line was the best part of the evening by far. 8-)

Glad Ropes and Chalky talked into coming back for the last one. Sterling job from everyone especially Chalky. He's always stuck by it and put a lot of work into it so he should be applauded for the success it has had. Never been anything this successful on the forum and hopefully Apocalypse will have a following too. So many great moments over the years and while yesterday was more nu-motorstorm than the good old days I did manage to squeeze in some of the old spots, tussling with Ropes, raping Chalky to screw us both, banta with Buff and strawberry floating Herbi over at the start of a race. I hope the videos have plenty of old footage.

Bit disorientating when I first joined and a rabble of drunks started shouting my name :lol:

Unlike Ropes though I won't be keeping the game. My opinion hasn't changed. The game is shite, bollocks to the nth degree. It's us that made it so good so don't worry about Apocalypse. It may be shite but we won't be.

The moments that stand out to me:
Winning my first night when I didn't even want to play that night.
Chalk's meltdown at Cropolite's message freezing the PS3.
Buff thinking I'm from Yorkshire when I'm clearly not.
Me and Herbi's epic win in the team championship then rigging the singles so Ropes wouldn't win.
The race were only Chalky could race leaving us to watch and laugh at him.

Who knew we'd end up here, witness and participants to the most important and significant GR gaming get together ever. Newcomers and vets, or those who are simply curious, all welcome with open arms. Dozens of people now have sampled the magic, and from here we go strength to strength.
