One bit that I didn't see coming was the bomb in the wheelchair. I thought the senator lady was going to team up with Lex and be a side baddy, but nope she cooked roasted. That was a pleasant surprise.

Also - who was the time traveller guy? The Flash?

So doing a bit of interneting and it appears the Ultimate Edition is being more well-received than the original cut, I'm not surprised.

You mean the guy who was in the dream, after Bruce woke up from the dream within a dream?

Yeah

Did you not get that from the bit later in the film when Wonder Woman stops before the final battle to check her e-mails, and sees Lex's Youtube playlist of other metas (with stylised logos for each!)

God you're the worst.

:slol:

For reference, he killed...

17 in Batman
3 in Batman Returns
9 in Batman Forever
0 in Batman & Robin
11 in Batman Begins
2 in The Dark Knight
3 in The Dark Knight Rises
21 in Batman v Superman (extended edition)

He's only now slightly more murderous than he was in Tim Burton's movie. :dread:

I don't have an issue with Batman killing people, so long as it fits the context. I think the Batman in BvS is different to any of the other cinematic portrayals of the Dark Knight, in that he is that much older and jaded and therefore less idealistic & more brutal. Plus he's been hardened by the loss of Robin, which probably makes him much less forgiving.

I think had he been blasting and stabbing people in Batman Begins when Batman was just starting out then you'd probably say that that wouldn't have fit contextually.

The. Worst.

I think the problem comes from the fact he's all "Oh no Superman kills people!?!?! He might kill more!?!? I'll kill people to stop him" - indiscriminate ends justifying the means is the problem, not the killing.

Add in Superman wants to stop Batman cus Batman kills people after Superman kills loads of people unnecessarily.

Hypocrits. HYPOCRITICAL NONSENSE!

For what it's worth I thought that the Ultimate Edition was better than the theatrical release. It does explain a couple of things more clearly.

However it's still a mess. A 3hr long mess in this case.

Batman has killed people in all of the other films (other than the Batnipple extravaganza, where Joel Schumacher was the one doing the (career) killing) so why is it an issue in BvS?

Because Ben Afleck is supposed to be the nice one, we only expect this sort of murderous rage from the likes of Mat Damon. :dread:

Superman: "You kill people. Therefore I'm going to kill you a bunch of people and then kill you"
Batman: "You kill people. Therefore I'm going to kill a bunch of people and then kill you"

Plus in this Batman goes out of his way to kill people with machines guns, death sentence brands and sizzle. And after burning someone alive makes a pun.
