Looks pretty bad. And Ray Winstone :fp: I'm stick of his walking cockney hardman stereotype that he plays in every film ever.

Let begin by first saying I haven't watched Thor. I haven't watched Captain America. I haven't watched Iron Man 2. They might all be really great movies. But there is something about the team sequel, The Avengers' movie promo material that looks straight-to-video and leaves me cold.

All three (Ironman 2, Thor, Cpt America) are all decidedly average. Mildly entertaining but nothing remotely special.

Yeah I honestly think the film looks muck. Taf is right, the three of them are average (With Iron Man being the better of the three imo)

Any time I see a screen from the film I can't help think of....

If you didn't know you were watching Thor you would be forgiven for thinking it was a Flash Gordon remake.

I think out of the three I prefer Captain America. Just for Laura Haddock:

Iron Man 2 had slightly too much Samuel L. Jackson, it was more an Avengers prequel than an Iron Man sequel. And let's not go into Thor...

There's a world of difference between Avengers and those latter Batman films.

Judging the film based on one picture :fp: :fp:

Especially when it looks like it isn't even your type of film because you haven't watched like the last 3/4 marvel films.

On the contrary I love superhero movies. I really enjoyed Iron Man 1. Thor, with the whole Norse gods theme looks interesting especially with Kenneth Brannagh directing. But I have a nice TV so I don't go to the cinema unless a movie is particularly compelling to me and most of the comments I've heard about the above mentioned movies have not been glowing. So I will watch them when LoveFilm delivers them.

I haven't judged the Avengers film based on one picture, I've been following its development for at least 3 years. The Avengers movie seem like it has been put together by a committee of suits. Maybe there will be a trailer that connects with me. However if you are there on the opening night of the Avengers movie and love it, I will be more than happy to read your review.

Good God, don't base your cinema-viewing on what people here say. People here are idiots

 Too many opinions for you Priesty?

Regarding my Batman reference, I meant the Avengers reminded me of that picture.

Why did they ruin it? The costume he had in the movie was pretty good.
