Probably because it's not a 3 word title for the film.

In other news;

Snipes confirmed for Expendables 3.

That was inevitable. He's desperate for a pay check after 3 years in the clink and he fits the expendables mould perfectly.

I'm pretty sure they wanted him for the first film but something about not being able to leave the country stopped that from happening

He's the best out of all the 80s style action flick stars so he'd make everyone else feel/look like gooseberry fool if he was in it.

Old Boy Poster

Image

The first poster for Oldboy has been released.

Spike Lee's remake of Park Chan-wook's 2003 drama stars Josh Brolin as Joe Doucett, an advertising executive who is kidnapped and held captive for 20 years.

After being inexplicably released, Doucett sets out to find the people responsible for his imprisonment, but increasingly realises that he is still a pawn in a larger conspiracy.

Elizabeth Olsen, Samuel L Jackson, Sharlto Copley and Michael Imperioli also star in Oldboy, which was written by Mark Protosevich (I Am Legend).

Brolin has stated that he sought Chan-wook's blessing before signing on for the lead role.

A remake of Chan-wook's Sympathy for Lady Vengeance, which is part of his Vengeance Trilogy along with Oldboy, is currently in development with Charlize Theron attached.

Michael Bay's 'Ninja Turtles' casts Danny Woodburn as Splinter

Michael Bay's Ninja Turtles movie has cast Danny Woodburn as its Master Splinter.

Woodburn, who recently appeared in Mirror Mirror as dwarf Grimm, will play the half-shelled heroes' rat mentor.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire star Alan Ritchson, Noel Fisher, Pete Ploszek and Jeremy Howard have been cast as the eponymous quartet, while Megan Fox will play reporter April O'Neil.

Arrested Development's Will Arnett is also on board the film in an undisclosed role.

Wrath of the Titans director Jonathan Liebesman is behind the camera for the live-action/performance-capture reboot, which sparked controversy earlier in its production due to a script that switched the turtles' origins to make them from outer space.

Ninja Turtles will open in cinemas on June 6, 2014.

Cillian Murphy joins Wally Pfister’s Transcendence

Wally Pfister’s Transcendence ensemble is beginning to take shape, with Cillian Murphy the latest big name to join the cast for the cinematographer’s directorial debut.

Last week saw Morgan Freeman join leading man Johnny Depp, with Murphy signing on to join a group that also includes Rebecca Hall as the female lead.

Pfister is clearly taking a leaf out of Christopher Nolan’s book by recruiting a smattering of actors he’s worked with many times in the past. Freeman and Murphy were both involved in all three Dark Knight films, while the latter also took a significant role in Inception.

Transcendence will follow Depp’s artificial intelligence scientist whose consciousness is uploaded into a computer of his design before he is killed by a group of anti-technology terrorists. Hall will play the wife and fellow researcher charged with continuing his work

Directed from an original script by Jack Paglen and featuring supporting turns from Kate Mara and Paul Bettany, Transcendence will open in the US on 25 April 2014, with a UK date to be confirmed.

Nah, but he's a bit 'rotund' nowadays.

He'd be a big enough target.

The only guy that springs to mind is Tom 'The Punisher' Jane.

Samuel L Jackson might be a good one to have in there, and of course Nic Cage - did I hear they already got him in for 3 though?

Not that it really counts for much. Both Expendables films are awful.

In what way are they "awful"?

Tacky, boring, cliched, and over-reliant on the whole "we're action heroes but also really old you guys" thing. They don't try to do anything interesting at all, it's just stuff like, of course that thing happened, it's an action movie. The only pull is the fact that it's all these action legends from years ago, only now 1) it doesn't work today, and 2) they're action legends because the films they were in way back were great in their own right.

The first one is awful, but the second is good fun.

That's the joke.gif

I think you've completely missed the point of the film.

No, it's more that they use that joke over, and over, and over. Like it wasn't immediately obvious from the start. If they went a bit more tongue in cheek with the whole thing, then great, it'd be interesting at least. But they play a lot of it straight, with the occasional comedic moment - each time, as I said, being "oh my back suddenly hurts because I am old".

Sorry, why is Oldboy being remade?

What's the strawberry floating point?

The oppressed are allowed once every few years to decide which particular representatives of the oppressing class are to represent and repress them in parliament.

I would pay to see Last of The Summer Wine remade with the Rock playing Compo.
