I enjoyed it as well d have watched it again but it seems to have tarnished the brand to the mass market as it’s seems to always be referenced in a negative way.

Yeah, 'fans' seem to have a fair bit more power than they used to. Not sure if that's a good thing :dread:

The 2016 one is alright but I didn't think it was as funny as it could have been.

I've seem the leads in far funnier roles.

Dreading the new Ghostbusters. If it’s just 2 hours of ‘remember this?!’ without a decent story or non-annoying characters then it’s a big shame.

Nostalgia hits have always been a massive part of the entertainment industry but I'll be damned if it has ever been quite this suffocating.

You just know if someone ever remade back to the future, the trailer would go like this:

Jingle sound on black screen.
Clapped out old Toyota truck with kid moaning about having to drive dad's old piece of junk from the 80s.
Elizabeth shue cleans wardrobe, with high angle shot of old box containing video camera.
Kid finds camera, it has the tape of doc explaining about time travel.
Kid takes skateboards to see docs old house.
Finds barn key under the mat.
Finds broken amp and old yellow guitar which has been sat in the same place for 40 years for some reason.
Finds delorean under dusty sheet.

And so on.

Contractually, a sequel or remake can't happen without Bob Gale and Robert Zemeckis blessing and they have no desire to return to it.

If there wasn't that contractual agreement we'd have definitely had a new BTTF starring Tom Holland as Marty McFly by now.

With the loss of DVD sales due to streaming sites, there is much more reliance on the box office and so the industry has become much more risk adverse in what it greenlights, unfortunately.

It can't possibly be worse than the last one.

This is so spot on. I could picture that entire trailer perfectly and it made me cringe.

Yeah I enjoyed Predators as well.

It's nothing special, but it works well. Love the bit with the booby-trapped Danny Trejo corpse. :datass:

The Predator was just utter crap from the very start. The AVP movies were better than that piece of gooseberry fool.

I loved that scene

I remember watching The Predator on the plane after I'd exhausted other options. I still wasn't prepared for how much I disliked it. I do have to admit to having a soft spot for AvP 2  I know, I know, it's a bad film and I'm a bad person for liking it

It's my dirty little secret as well. I think it's much better than the first AVP.

You can add me to the AvP 2 shame list.

I only wish they'd go back and make the bloody picture slightly brighter. It was just so dark.

I was really hyped when Shane Black was announced as writing/directing 'The Predator', giving his links with the original and the quality films he's put out in recent years. I remember seeing the reviews and thinking "mmmm, it can't be that bad?". Oh, how wrong was I :dread:

I thought I was the only one! I stopped admitting to people that I enjoyed it. I agree that it was much better than the first one and likewise I think if they'd just brightened the picture a little it would have been better.

AvP 2 was an interesting film as the uncut version (home release only) had a lot more gore.

It's a dark film in tone and in presention. What's worse than Chest Bursters? How about they only burst out of pregnant women? The ending had to be a tribute to Return of the Living Dead as it's basically the exact same thing. Also the lead woman is just Ripley, but without the personalized.

It's a terrible alien film, a terrible predator film but as a popcorn tribute bto both franchises. It's great. Predators was a very strong movie with a great cast and excellent pacing. The Predator was utter wank though.

Wish my image sig would work
