I kinda feel like the Borat joke has had its moment now.

The plot is Borat thinks he's too famous and will be recognised doing his interviews so he's in disguise.

I watched Borat last year for the first time & didn’t really find it funny at all. But then I know friends who absolutely love it so each to their own

Robert Zemecki's remake of Roald Dahl's The Witches is going direct to HBO Max on October 22nd.

Which is a shame as I loved the original and would love to see this at the cinema. The original is genuinely creepy and the high witch and transformation scene is still unsettling.

Here's the trailer. It's being retold with a US setting and characters which makes more sense than remaking the original. The kid seems very natural acting and Octavia Spencer plays his gran. Anne Hathaway is a bit too attractive to be a witch but she becomes more witchlike. I would like to watch it, the only issue is if it has been made specifically as a children's movie as opposed to a family movie but it could be fun. Either it will be sold on Apple/Amazon or available elsewhere. One thing, the song I'll be there' turned into something of a darker musical piece!

That actually looks ok. I wish they'd go darker but the original version already did it so this will be something different.

It has a fifties (I think) setting which might give it its own character.

I'll go and see that as I'm one of the few that thought the Resident Evil films were quite good in a cheesy way :shifty: .

Cineworld closing all cinemas until next year. Bond delay the final nail.
