I wasn't particularly keen on the first two Hellboy movies, let alone this.

Doesn't do anything for me. I'm a huge animation fan, with one of the reasons being the expressiveness of the characters. This isn't just in traditional animation, but more modern CGI types too. But this really looks soulless. I'd love it to flop or get panned so Disney can actually try more original ideas, but sadly that's not gonna happen. Especially as for some reason everyone loves Beyonce.

Sacrilege.

But Neil Marshall films are always messy and cheap looking. The Descent is still one of the most effective horror films ever made despite looking like it was made by a group of 6 year olds with 2 metric tons of strawberry jam.

I mean, it'll probably be gooseberry fool yeah (Milla Jojovich's inclusion was something of a giveaway).

Probably the greatest trailer ever made!

Spoils everything but who cares it's beyond stupid and beyond amazing.

Film of the decade confirmed!

On one hand, I do feel a bit sorry for Vin Diesel.

On the other, that looks strawberry floating mental.

Serious question: has The Rock been in any genuinely good movies?

I know he's supposed to be the modern-day Arnie (pfft, I scoff at thee!), but Arnie was in some stone-cold (excuse the pun) classics like Terminator, Predator, Conan, Total Recall, Jingle All the Way etc, whereas The Rock just seems to be starring in one CGI explosion-fest after another.

That franchise is a guilty pleasure. They're ridiculous, over the top, utterly stupid and objectively bad at times but they're enjoyable.

Same with the Riddick movies. I think part of it is that Vin Diesel clearly loves making them and they do well enough that he can afford to keep making them.

Not any that I've seen. I know people seem to like the new Jumanji though. I find he isn't really a leading man kinda guy. Compared to Arnie I don't think he has the ability or presence to really carry a film on his own.

Unfair comparison though I suppose as Arnie is a God.

Oops forgot he was in Moana

Totally forgot he was in Moana. Ok, that's 1 great film I guess (even though it's not really "him", but I'll allow it).
