https://www.small-screen.co.uk/disney-releases-2020-delayed-blockbusters-covid-black-widow/

Disney has just announced that they have pushed their entire calendar of blockbuster releases for Q4 2020 in the U.K.

As cinemas already struggle to gain a foothold with audiences & showing new releases this is a devastating blow to the U.K. cinema industry.

So there’s nothing to watch in a cinema in October? Cineworld lost a billion apparently in the first six months of the year...

Not looking good

Cinemas shouldn't even be open during a global pandemic.

Apparently they would make about 100m profit a year before covid, so it will be a long time until they could make that back even if they can raise funding.

How did Mulan go for Disney?

I'm really hoping they just say "strawberry float it" and release Black Widow via Disney Plus.

Badly. Looks like it didn’t make the budget back.

Not helped by it being a remake nobody wanted and filmed next to a concentration camp.

Easter 2 is always in the last quarter of the year.

Every Disney live action remake then.

At least I can't see them remaking Robin Hood, unless they make a furry version :dread:

I see Akira is out for 2 days, 7th and 8th October. Both standard and IMAX. Even with Covid hunting us down after 10pm I am tempted.

Was Akira made to a resolution that would utilise an imax screen? I'd imagine it'd be a good experience either way, but stuff that's made for imax is pretty incredible and really worth being seen nativity where possible.

Borat sequel gets its title:

Borat: Gift of Pornographic Monkey to Vice Premiere Mikhael Pence to Make Benefit Recently Diminished Nation of Kazakhstan.

:slol: Hmm I’ll just call it Borat 2.
