If Sky does nab the Wonder Woman rights then that’s bad news for me as Sky never put subtitles up on their rental/sales stores at all.

Really? That's bloody stupid of them :fp: .
The terrestrial channels are told to have them on everything as far as I know and rightly so.
It surely can't be expensive these days to add them.

It’s the same on the Videos store on PS. I suspect that Microsoft have the same issue here in the UK (I know you have to set up an US account to get closed captions but don’t know if this is still the case.)

I won't be sad to see the back of the cinema experience. If I book onto an exciting opening day release I either have to go on my own (meaning I have nobody to talk to about it) or end up with crap seats which normally have next to no leg room due to The Light costing a fortune to take the family to.

And then I have to put up with strangers. I remember excitedly going to watch The Force Awakens only to discover me and 2 friends couldnt sit together. I had to go it alone next to some guy with his head buried in his t-shirt playing on his phone for the whole film. If I'm sat at the back somewhere I may as well be watching it on TV.

At home I can go to the loo when I like, I have a fridge full of beer and pork pies 10 steps away and I can lie down if I feel like it.

Maybe the death of cinema will give actual theatres a shot in the arm. Nothing like a live play or musical.

I would be sad if I don’t go to the cinemas but at the same time, it would be a little cheaper and safe to watch at home due to having four kids. My gf has kinda developed a phobia of going out in places like the cinema or the bingo, and my ex wife has developed the same phobia and I know that she will make my life hell if I decide to take the kids to the cinema.

I hope the vaccine works but due to my age and the ex’s age along with the kids, we wouldn’t probably get the vaccine until after the summer next year. That’s usually the best time for cinemas.

I really hope cinema's do manage to stay open as I just love the big new releases.
I was hoping to go and see Bond, Dune, Top Gun, Superintellegence, 76 Days and Chaos Walking next year.

A Recipe for Seduction! I hope that's not a spoof and a real movie.

Some critics have had a preview of DC's WW84 and it's got great feedback but whilst they're not spoiling direct plot details they are spoiling plot beats! So don't read nothing!

Lost Muppet Christmas Carol song rediscovered

Coming for the 4K release.

Referenced at the end of the film when they sing "when love is found"

Little news, but good news! Many years ago we got cable years after everybody else at my school and I watched it on Sky Movies. I loved the whole film as it was a proper movie with great songs and it was the Muppets acting the parts so two types of acting, very meta, very brilliant. That song gave the movie its heart. Was sad to see it later without the song and I never realised it was because they lost the master. The song is available as an extra on Disney+ so I was toying with with watching it, stopping at the right place, watching the clip, then going back to the film! As Christmas seems to be taking a holiday this year I think I will wait until until it returns and watch the 4K remaster.

This feels huge. Not sure what to make of it really: I love going to the cinema, but if WB can make this work financially I don't see how this doesn't spell the beginning of the end.

Great news for 4K Bluray sales though.

Cool!

I saw reviews saying it wasn't as good as the original but I don't really mind. I enjoy my horror movies and wouldn't mind returning to that setting.

4 hours long? Jaysus, people really shouldn't encourage him.
