I know the feeling but there's no way curiosity will get me to sit through four hours of this tripe. I still feel unclean for having paid money to see the theatrical release.

Interesting fact, if you watch 300 on dvd it's 1 hour 40 mins. If the slow mo bits are played at regular speed then runtime drops to 23 minutes (including credits)*


* May be slight exaggeration.

Also if you watch 300 and London Has Fallen back to back then you can imagine Gerard Butler is a time traveller who hates arabs.

strawberry float it, not like I'm wanting for time at the moment. What's 4 hours to waste so I can chat gooseberry fool about it.

Yeah I never made the mistake of paying money to see it in the first place!

I can't even remember what happens in this film. I remember the bit where Batman has a dream and Aquaman being in a pub but that's literally it.

I've lost the tweet now, but a Rian Johnson's Star Wars trilogy has been reconfirmed. It's happening, just slowly as he's other projects on the go.

It all went a bit quiet on that front for a while so it's good to know the trilogy is still in the pipeline.

PLEASE have absolutely nothing to do with the original trilogy at all. No falcon, no cameo of THAT guy from the bar.

Oh who am I kidding, the final shot of the trilogy will be of someone on tatooine digging up those lightsabers.

They've already said it'll be separate from the Skywalker saga but yeah, I agree. Honestly, give me a Rian Johnson directed Old or High Republic film. I mean, he did sneak a Darth Revan easter-egg into TLJ...

The mandalorian (and rogue one in parts) showed that as long as the world feels right, it's star wars. We don't need endless wink wink references and old characters just popping up in the background for no reason to enjoy it.

Thousands of years either in the past or future please, get far far away from the current stuff.

Well perhaps the Mandalorian isn't the best frame of reference re: fanservice but I get what you mean.

i changed my mind, the rian johnson trilogy will save cinema

fr tho having seen like two of his movies I'd be interested to see what he could do given some degree of restraint and a larger scale creative vision. Of course I would prefer for star wars to die but there is point where one must come to terms with reality.
