If there's a film rooted to the era in which it was made it's The Big Lebowski. I mean, 90s nostalgia baiting is due to come into fashion any year now (if it hasn't already looking at videogames like Dusk and Paratopic) but no. We don't need more Dude. Leave him the strawberry float alone.

I do not approve of any of these cash-grab live-action remakes. They're unnecessary and sully the memory of the originals.

HoND, while not in the AAA Disney stable, is still a great animation with memorable characters and an awesome score. Quasimodo deserves better.

I would accept any live action Disney film remakes that adhere to the original, often quite dark versions of the tales, where such originals exist. For example, Cinderella's ugly sisters cutting their toes off to fit into the slippers.

While I have enjoyed some of the recent remake output (Christopher Walken's King Louis in the Jungle Book remake is a legendary scene), but I feel like it should be quite a bit darker to match the realistic visuals, and tell a more faithful, less friendly adaptation of the story.

Terrible idea. Especially the rumours of Josh Gad as Quasimodo :dread:

Into the Woods kept all the gritty moments from the original fairytales. Even the bit where Cinderella's step-family all get their eyes pecked out by a furious flock of birds.

The strawberry floating feminazis are at it again

https://www.gq.com/story/were-finally-p ... verso=true

We're Finally (Probably) Getting an All-Female Fast and Furious Spinoff

In the post, he talks about "a pitch for the Fast female protagonist driven spinoff" then name checks three established female screenwriters, Nicole Perlman, Lindsey Beer, Geneva Robertson-Dworet, welcoming them to the "Fast FAMILY." Sure sounds like something's coming together.

The film would likely center around franchise mainstay (and Widows legend) Michelle Rodriguez's Letty as its protagonist, but the film series has had some big names come and go in its now nearly two decades (!) on this earth: Eva Mendes, Nathalie Emmanuel, and Gal Gadot all could potentially be involved in whatever it is Vin and the writers are cooking up. We already know death means virtually nothing in the Fast universe; Sung Kang's Han Lue from Tokyo Drift was so popular, Universal made the next three movies technically prequels to the Japan-set movie so that the character could appear after dying in his first appearance.

Looks good enough to me. Adding humour to differentiate it from the core fast series.

Hobbs & Shaw sounds like a second rate 1960s/70s comedic duo who do the casino circuit and achieve minor fame for like ten years before they fade back into obscurity.
