The title is a little bit clichéd but the combination of setting, great cast, and Tarantino makes this sound great on paper. And the trailer looks good too.

I think the original intention was for it to be one film, but as he was making it he realised how stupidly big it would be.

There is a version where the films are combined (“The Whole Bloody Affair”) but it’s never been released as far as I know.

That's one lame excuse from Tarantino, as if long films don't exist.

Wasn't impressed by the trailer. It's another Tarantino film, a guy who hasn't properly grown as a filmmaker since the 90's. Maybe there's some scope for this to surprise, but it came across fairly by the numbers.

Just reading about the film now, I had no idea it was about the Manson Family murders. Not sure how that'll play as a black comedy, but I'm sure it'll be very watchable. I've not liked everything QT has done, but he has more hits than misses.
