Yeh this Terminator model can make copies of itself.

It looks like it used the metal from that iron bar as the material to create the copy from. Not sure how that bar was enough to create an entire robot, but I can see them using that to limit how powerful this skill would be so they don't write themselves in to a corner with an unbeatable killing machine like Matrix's Agent Smith.

I don't think this is the case. From the trailer it looks like it's a normal Terminator exoskeleton with a skin made from the same stuff as the T1000, a dual-entity. It used the rebar to transmit it's second half outside the truck.

I think it looked fine. Trailer CGI is always WIP so it'll get polished before release.

I am so glad employee wellbeing has been made a priority over gnashing fans by delaying the film instead of demanding thousands of hours of overtime from already overburdened segment of the film industry. I wasn't expecting that. I hope there was some unionisation or solidarity involved; could have been facing mass walk-outs or resignations from artists having to do the same thing all over again because of some terrible focus group testing than undoubtedly predicted as well.

Most VFX artists are nerds and they absolutely would have known about Sonic from the 90s and known that it was just not right.

Thing with the sonic trailer is.... It's terrible. Even if sonic looked Detective Pikachu levels of amazing , the feel of the film is junk.

Rampage (based on the game) was bloody awesome, fantastic effects, likeable cast, talented FX heavy director, a lot of heart and it loved the 3 central monsters making them take a large amount of the films running time.

Sonic has been made with some ring sound effects to make people go, ah nostalgia, it's the ghost busters remake all over again.

I like how in the opening sequence he ferro-morphs along the piece of rebar onto the bonnet of the truck because that definitely seems like the most efficient way that an indestructible machine could get out of a car.

I noticed that. It would have been far easier and a hell of a lot quicker if he had just climbed out of the window.

To be fair to that scene, I think it was trying to show that he was able to keep his skeleton in the driving seat driving the truck, while the "rest" of him morphed onto the bonnet and then jumped. So perhaps he can make a copy of himself? I dunno, it wasn't very clear.

Ah yea, on a rewatch I can see that.

So if he left his skeleton behind to drive the truck, why does it immediately lose control when he jumps?

What's with all the slow-mo gooseberry fool during the chase, the forearms grazing clip is ridiculous.

I haven't a strawberry floating clue what's going on in that trailer, is this a sequel to Genisysor yet another semi reboot? why is Sarah elderly again? why is the CGI so gooseberry fool?

I'm also now going to refer to the new female terminator as the LGBT-1000.

Also why bothered using a gooseberry fool cover version of The Hunter by Bjork when the original version would have worked far better?

The terminaor comment was a bit of a joke tbh, she looks a bit butch and given the current trend of diversity in media it was a cheap attempt at humour. (besides, I stole it from the YT comments anyway).

Also, if this is set after T2 and possibly T3 wouldn't Sarah be dead seeing as in T3 she'd supposedly died from cancer years before, I don't see the point in bringing her back and not John.
