I think it's because it's actually a pretty realistic portrayal of how things could go, nothing in it seems particularly outlandish.

I have zero faith in whatever the Wachowskis do, their movie output has been atrocious since the first Matrix.

I’m not sure if the Wachowski’s have done anything since Jupiter Ascending but that may just be the worst sci film I’ve ever seen. So I’m not overly optimistic for a Matrix 4.
