They’re annoying if you’re going to watch them directly. But as taf said those first 5 seconds are there for when it’s played in front of another YouTube video as an actual advert advert that you can skip after a few seconds. Those 5 seconds are designed to be there to show you quickly what the ad is before you decide to skip or not.

It would make more sense for there to be a regular YouTube version and then a secret pre ad version that isn’t watchable on YouTube outside of being selected as an advert

Still not great but at least it looks like Sonic so that’s an improvement.

That's just the skipad

Knowing this only makes them more annoying

What on Earth will they be making at Netflix that made them turn down Star Wars? Maybe they wanted to avoid fan-outrage or Lucasfilm pulled out. Either way, the next Star Wars film is released on the 16th December 2022. That's only three years away so Disney better a get move on find some next-big-thing director, scribble together a script and get the SFX department back in to make sure they can push the movie out the door in time.

It doesn't matter what it is, just that it's making them more money.

This Twitter thread is worth a read on D&D-it's a Q&A that someone live tweeted that has caught people's attention because of their responses:

It seems Game of Thrones succeeded (until the end) despite of them to be honest.

You have to wonder if Netflix will stick with them-$200m is a lot of money for two names no one wants to be associated with right now. The GoT stench is going to follow them around for a long time. They really strawberry floated up.

You have to wonder whether they actually walked away from Star Wars or if Disney pushed, especially with the timing-Gemini Man can be pretty much be chalked up as a failure now and that might have been the final straw.
