I think at this point there is only a little bit of crossover in the all-time top ten and the adjusted for inflation top ten. Avatar, Titanic maybe Endgame and Force Awakens.
It goes to show just how insanely popular early cinema was, especially when you consider that most of the Gone With The Wind gross will be US only, and it came out bang in the middle of a massive global depression. The lamentable Birth of a Nation was another hugely popular film, from 1915. It was screened for President Wilson in the White House - the first film to have a private screening there. Cinema history is a nerdy hobby of mine.
