PostRe: Xbox Game Pass - Worms Rumble, Dungeons & Dragons Dark Alliance, Yakuza: LAD & 10 Bethesda games out now.

This past December, Xbox, LeBron James, and Bugs Bunny – the ultimate dream team– invited real-life game fans to submit their ideas for a Space Jam: A New Legacy-inspired video game. We are excited to showcase the same game logo, exclusive in-game character art, and gameplay as is shown in the new trailer.

We were flooded with entries from around the world, and many of them were really great. It was a tough decision. To create the final game, we blended the ideas of two gamers: our youth-competition winner, Narayan from India, and our adult-competition winner, Ricky from the United States. Xbox and Warner Bros. were energized by Ricky’s idea of a classic “beat ’em up” blended with game mechanics that Narayan had suggested. The game is inspired by the upcoming live action/animated feature film with deep reverence for the lively characters in Space Jam: A New Legacy and appreciation of the Tune Squad’s pop culture influence, all while reminiscent of classic arcade games of the 1990s.

The game is launching globally on July 1 exclusively into Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Perks for a limited time.

On July 15, the game will be available free-to-play for all fans through the Microsoft Store on Xbox.

Wow, Microsoft are drastically underselling themselves when they advertise "over 100 games" on Game Pass.

I keep finding myself almost paralysed in terms of what to play on this, there are just so many games on offer that I keep finding myself scrolling through the list and thinking "gooseberry fool I might like a whole bunch of these but I just don't know!"

Basically I need to get better at just taking a punt and trying stuff!

It's brilliant and only about 3 hours long. :)

Iron harvest is brilliant. Typical it’s on gamepass after I bought it a few months back. I didn’t think there was any chance of it making it to gamepass.

How does everyone go about picking what they will play on Game Pass then? Do you stick to things you know or try and dabble in random choices?

I'm trying to make more of a conscious effort to get more out of the service as I feel like I struggle to play anything because I'm overwhelmed by the choice sometimes!

I've started downloading random things among some safe bets

And then on the games menu, selecting the "Surprise me!" Option to let the Xbox choose what I should play that evening.

For some unknown reason I always pick games that take 100 hours to complete even though I only play around 5-10 hours a week tops. The games I like the look of are usually the ones that are least suited to my lifestyle. But onwards with Yakuza: LAD.

Yeah I always end up going for the larger experiences as well which makes me worry I'm missing out on more of the short but fun stuff!

And I had completely forgotten about the "surprise me" feature so that's a good one to check out as well :D

I listen to a lot of the recommendations on here, or games that I have heard of.

Because there is so much choice, I tend now to give a game a couple of hours/sitting to hook me. Otherwise it gets deleted. This has happened with battletoads, maneater, snowrunner (3 sittings), west of dead, void bastards.

Some games stay, flight sim, forza.

I tend to try most of the new games that get added.

I have actually played Limbo using only the mouse  , as most of you know my disability means I can no longer use a controller so I use a bit of software called AltController to create custom on-screen controls for various games (mostly intended for driving games but with a little creativity can be adapted to other genres).

Basically made some overlapping squares for left, right and jump that I move the mouse cursor around to navigate and mapped the right mouse button to grab/interact with obstacles.

Worked surprisingly well.

It’s amazing this functionality isn’t included with games tbh.

The combat in Dark Alliance is particularly unsatisfactory which isn't great for a game that seems to have combat as the focus.

Its more the fact that a lot of games seem to actively prevent the use of such software that I find annoying.

Mostly ithings like the mouse cursor being 'locked' into the game window or not being visible during gameplay (Wreckfest for example removes the cursor during races which makes it impossible to play) but there's also things like the game not showing up in task manager so the software can't detect it (you essentially have to manually 'pair' every new game you create a control scheme for).
