After previously bouncing off Yakuza 0, I'm giving Like a Dragon a punt. The combat system and jobs is what pulled me in but I've a feeling I've got a Netflix box set of content to watch before I get to actual gameplay. Having only dabbled with one previous entry in the series and not knowing, are Yakuza main protagonists always such twats? Ichiban is totally unlikeable in the early part of 7.

I find whole aesthetic and 'cliqueyness' of Yakuza to be completely unwelcoming to an outsider. They hold no appeal to me at all.

I thought the thread title was rating Yakuza the score of LAD/10, was well confused :fp:

I'm really enjoying Like A Dragon, the turn based combat is far better for me as I'm not the biggest fans of fighting in games. The end of Chapter 1 has about 30mins of cut scenes...and 5mins of playing... but I hope it's just setting up the story...

I've just downloaded Like a Dragon too, and might try it ahead of 0 as my introduction to the series.

Probably should save it until after an exam I have in July, though it does sound like I could get some studying in during the game's first few hours.
