Neither really, but closer to Xcom. They’re real-time rather than turn-based, with a focus on strategy and stealth. You control individual members of a small squad, each of which has certain abilities. If you ever saw or played the old Commandos games, or the more recent Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun, it’s just like those, and I adore them.

Nice of them to add Donut County while they've still got their "trade G for Microsoft Reward Points" thing going on. It's a great little game and a really easy 1000G.

My son is LOVING Donut County. I've never seen him laugh as hard as when he heated up the hot air balloon and it flew off breaking the mountain it was chained to.

I downloaded control but it’s not DX12 compatible in the game pass version and so DLSS is disabled on RTX cards. Annoying. I’ll wait until this gets fixed.

Completed this month’s Reward Challenge to earn 10,000 Gs by 26th Jan so have earned the max 10k Reward points to take me to just over the 50k mark.

Played a few Game Pass games I’d probably not have touched if it wasn’t for this challenge - Subnautica, What Remains of Edith Finch, Day of the Tentacle, Ark Survival, The Touryst, The Gardens Between, Fractured Minds

Enjoyed Edith Finch, Touryst, and The Gardens Between, but hated Day of the Tentacle (don’t @me) even with a guide to get it done as quickly as possible. Used the Developer/command route to complete Ark and Subnautica.

Just building my Rewards balance up to reach at least 58,500 which will enable me to cash in for £50 of MS gift cards.

Now to get back to Cyberpunk and Valhalla I think

Ori and the Will of the Wisps is an incredibly beautiful game on Series X.

Really enjoying Donut County, it's so relaxing and has something of a Karamari Damacy vibe to it, I've been chortling my hangover away.

Honestly, even if I don't play anything else all month that Gamepass sub would have paid for itself this January.

I’ve been playing flight sim. It’s incredible and the visuals are something else. Mrs thought I was watching a film/video at first.

Flying small craft, but I don’t really know how far I’ll go. I just want to see some cool places I can’t currently go on holiday to.

I love it. It got me through a Saturday morning, a grey Sunday morning and a Monday evening fog. It's like SMTV live.

I'm going to have to go back to shooting angry looking aliens in the face soon, and will miss this cheery little feller as I'm on the last level now.
