Unfortunately the two are:
Complete the game without collecting any health power-ups
Complete the game in under an hour

Using a video to make sure I stay on pace, but it’s damn challenging. Good fun though. (May revise opinion when I get stuck on a boss.)

I love this game. It is really underappreciated.

Yeah, it’s great. I saw a couple of one-star user reviews and I was genuinely furious. Idiots saying it’s too difficult. It’s one of the downsides of Game Pass, that someone can play a game for 30 seconds and give a dismissive rating.

The reviews on Game Pass are an utter joke.

More annoyingly, I haven't been able to play anything for the last few days as the PC Xbox app refuses to let me login.

Ah the joys of Game Pass, not sold on We Happy Few really, like the setting but not enough to complete it. Onto the external drive it goes till that starts to fill up! To say that its optimised for Series X/S it really doesn’t seem to perform that well? It seems to have a few stutters for me. Onto the next game then!

My Game Pass app still seems to be crashing to a black screen on my Series X, is there a cache I can clear that might sort it? Although I don’t know what this would do as its turned off overnight which is normally what’s recommended to clear any sort of cache isn’t it?

Edit, so what do I load up? Skyrim :fp:

Genuinely can't tell the difference between this and NHL20.

Not to say it's bad or anything, but it feels like they've just updated the User Interface and that's it

Playing Katana Zero. It's not bad at all.

I enjoyed it also. It wrapped up before i got bored of the main mechanic too, which is always a good thing. Not sure i followed the story though.

Huge recommendation for The Messenger. It starts off as a fairly linear platformer, but if you stick with it, it opens up into something brilliant, with nice exploration opportunities and some tough (but not brutal) optional platforming challenges. Excellent writing too, that messes around with genre conventions.

Rather than getting too immersed into Skyrim yet again :shifty: I swiftly moved back onto Oblivion last night, did a side quest I picked up in the first town which involved catching a grave robber and now I’m looking for Sean Bean’s voiced character. Just met up with Jauffre before calling it a night.

Oblivion is one of my favourite games and in 4k it still looks good. Love the music especially the glory of cyrodill theme.

Hey thanks for recommending this. I actually wanted to play it a while back, totally forgot the name and couldn't find it on google. Now I know what it is and I can install it. :msgreen:

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

I would love to go back to Morrowind and Oblivion but i think i would have to have a good talk with myself and agree to only play them for about a week and then walk away. I cant be replaying old games in their entirity when there is so much new stuff to experience.

Despite being 15 years old, Oblivion is new to me, I won’t be putting anywhere near the hours into Oblivion as I have Skyrim but would like to see the main quest through, as with the Thieves and DB quests. Morrowind would be brand new to me as well so might give that a try after too :toot:

Although I really should start Fable first....

Morrowind is a fantastic game, but someone coming to it new from the later Elder Scrolls games is going to probably find it quite jarring. It's quite a different experience, but if you can adapt then there is an excellent game there to enjoy!

It was a bit jarring going to Oblivion’s menus to be honest! People say how poor Skyrim’s were (they weren’t great) but they are loads easier than Oblivion’s in my opinion. Definitely worth downloading and trying with it being included with GPU anyway.

I think Skyrim's default menus are probably better from a controller input perspective, but they are very dumbed down and clunky to navigate IMO. Anyone familiar with the series' PC roots has basically found that the menus have gotten progressively worse since Morrowind.

The SkyUI mod on PC is basically essential for Skyrim for me.

Yeah I should have been clearer, was referring to how they are to navigate rather than how much information they pass across to the player, I’m glad durability hasn’t been carried across though, do items break in Oblivion when they reach 0 or just have lower stats till they’re repaired?

They break as far as I recall, I think you can no longer equip them at that point.

I know you can repair degraded items but I can't remember if you can fix them once they are fully broken

Latest rumours are Battlefield 6, FarCry 6 and Resident Evil Village are joining GP at launch. I doubt RE Village will tbh.

Just thinking RE might hit Gamepass made me cancel my Stadia pre order yesterday, even though that offer comes with the hardware for free too.

I don't reckon it'll be GP on day 1 based on no evidence whatever. My guesswork is it will come but a few months after release. It's really made me stop buying big games on release.

Resi games tend to drop in price pretty fast normally anyway, being mainly single player, so think I can wait a little bit either way.
