He's got a month of GPU, so should he be fine now.
He's not too fussed about having it for very long, just to get his kids through the summer holidays.

(But he'll probably get hooked once he sees the value first hand)

That's correct. But, after buying a Month of Gamepass Ultimate it seems to have given him 6 months in total - figure that one out :lol:

So, if anyone else is reading this in the future, the trick is to just buy some GPU.

I've decided to play Alan Wake before it goes.

In the intro dialogue, I have been told that something is "antithetical to the poetry of fear".

I've set it on easy ffs.

Setting it on easy is probably a smart move IMO. The gameplay in Alan Wake is a bit gooseberry fool but it's an interesting story and world.

I KNEW there was a game mentioned here a few days back that was recommended for some easy points next time MS did a bonus points month. Will give it a try, it sounds like a game i may like, but probably wont. This will motivate me to find out.

I think I probably hit the easy gamepass ones during the January promotion so I don't see myself getting above 1,000 extra points this time.

Will try to get a few thousand and could get to a point where i can buy a game off the store, which is nice!

I just saw on the Store that they have an "Achievement Enthusiast Sale" at the moment. :lol:

Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice is apparently a good one to rack them up - and also a good game.

From personal experience I've got 525 after about 8 hours of Zombie Army 4. Also think State of Decay 2 is a good one for getting them.

I'm thinking of also playing Vermintide 2 and Burnout Paradise, they seem good games to get achievements quite quickly.

Go here, click the header 'comp time' to list all Game Pass games in order from shortest completion to longest. Worth noting that some of the easier completions are done using PC codes and might not be quick to finish on a console.

Last time I rinsed the full 10k. Likely to get at least 5k this time I reckon.
