Think he's talking about xCloud, which is currently only on Android.

Put it on the easiest setting so I can just enjoy it without any trouble....... and i died quite a few times!

Ammo is very scarce and the speed of some of the enemies means a few shots miss their target. Loads of glory kills which helped the ammo situation, but frankly I’m amazed how tough it starts off on this. Christ knows what Nightmare or above must be like!

Doom (2016) was like this too. I think the game was very much optimised for KB+M, and controllers were an afterthought. Fast moving enemies plus a very twitchy camera made it harder than it needed to be. Imps were an absolutely pain in the arse. I gave up about 3/4 of the way through as it was getting quite repetitive.

I'm thinking of picking up Doom Eternal on the GamePass to get through during the last few days of my last week off work this week. Probably justifies about £40 worth of what I've paid in the last few months as I would always have picked this up at some stage.

I played Doom 2016 on controller and didn't find it too much of a problem. Was KB+M all the way on eternal though and it does make it a better experience!

Once you get into the flow of glory killing, chainsawing, hopping around the environment and swapping weapons and mods as the situation requires then it becomes an absolutely glorious experience

I'm still playing through Doom 2016. I have the original soundtrack down and replaced it with a Doom play list I created on Spotify with a lot of Prodigy stuff instead. :shifty:

That's my reaction as well, seemed like the odd one out of all the MS franchises not being available.

It's 99GB! :dread:

My semi-rural internet connection (~10Mbps, but pretty solid connection-wise) is going to be crying in the fetal position come next year.

Since I'm WFH I had to change my Xbox power option recently from the 'instant power on' option to 'energy saving' because random game downloads were interfering with MS Teams during the workday. So I'm reminded of how much of a pain it is to want to jump into a game but instead be greeted by a multi-GB patch. It's insane that MS still haven't included an option (like Steam and pretty much every other PC storefront) to limit the hours in which updates can be downloaded.

I think I'm going to have to start specifically turning on the Xbox over night and shutting it down first-thing to get these downloaded. Forza 7 @ 100GB is very surprising though. I think that's about 20-30GB more than Horizon 4.

You could probably use your router’s settings to block your Xbox during working hours, if that would solve the problem.

No Age of Empires have been announced for consoles. Maybe they'll release a collection for Series X|S somewhere down the line with only kb&m support.

If they were to add PC games to xCloud, and then enable streaming to console...

It’s an 11 year old game yeah but Brutal Legend has aged pretty badly, hack n slash blurry bollocks.

Doom eternal : Youve really got to keep on the move - all around the available arena space. Mix up the kills, going for glory kills / flame kills/ grenade kills. Priorotise certain enemies and switch guns alot. The codex shows you which enemies are more vulnerable to which guns.

Some of the jumpy platformy buts are very annoying, more so than 2016. They over did those bits here.

Finally gave Bloodstained a go. Never been one for the genre, but I'm enjoying it so far. It looks blood lovely, too.
