Had them as desktop backgrounds a while ago but can't find them now, which is a shame as they were brilliant.

Edit: The artist is Simon Stålenhag.

The First Outpost you're tasked with getting to is called Stålenhag Farm. :o

I've just spent over half an hour looking at his site, some excellently eerie art on there.

Really enjoying that Mindscanners game (or something like that). It’s basically a series of mini games mixed with something a bit like Tetris and a really depressing interactive story running underneath it all.

Indie games

Townscaper, the town-building toy from Oskar Stålberg and Raw Fury, is now available on the Nintendo SwitchGame Pass! Build quaint island towns with curvy streets, small hamlets with soaring cathedrals, canal networks, or sky cities on stilts. Imagine your perfect island-town, let Townscaper get you there.

Surprise release for today.

Gave Generation Zero a go yesterday, good concept and a very tense start (agree that the first pistol is a very weak weapon, I was racing through medic kits at the beginning  ). Using the bicycle was comically bad though. Just looked and the game/story seems pretty long so not sure how much of it I'll complete, but wouldn't have played it if it wasn't for Gamepass!

All the achievements in five minutes? I might just consider giving this a go... :shifty:

Only just found out Amazon made a TV series based on his sci-fi art book/graphic novel "Tales from the Loop", will definitely be watching that.

He also did the boxart for No Man's Sky and Mutant Year Zero.

I had a go and I'm very glad I didn't spend actual money on it. Very slight thing, doesn't seem anything to do.

Glad this came to Gamepass, as I had been considering spending money on it. Played for 5 minutes and uninstalled. It looks fun for what it is, but it's just sticking blocks together? For whatever reason I thought there was some actual game attached to this.

Started a new game of Stardew Valley on gamepass even though I've put over 500 hours into the Steam version already.

Edit: my Steam saves are showing up in the GP version, I wonder if it'll count my existing games towards the achievements.

It doesn't.

Was that ever previously announced to be coming to GP? If not, it just seems utterly wild how they just announce a new game for the service like that

I've been bouncing off various games on GP; some new, some old, most of them enjoyable but nothing really sticking. (Which is more to do with my mindset than the games.) And then I got around to giving Boyfriend Dungeon a go. It's my jam. I love it.

You'll get used to it, they drop games in with no notice at all at times. Usually they're small indie ones but occasionally a 'bigger' title will just show up in Gamepass.

Meant to spend like half an hour on DEEEER Simulator last night and about three hours later I finished it  It's really good fun, and there's a decent amount of actual gameplay and stuff to discover in there rather than it just being "lol wacky". The proper ending and the final boss is so weird  proper demented stuff.

I haven't finished it but what I played I LOVED. And yeah, I was pleasantly surprised by just how much proper gameplay is packed in there.

I don't think it was even announced that it was coming to Xbox!

Fellow freshly minted Xbox owners: make sure you look up MS Rewards program for easy to earn points which you can spend on games, gift cards, physical gear and GP and other stuff. (Prize draws, gifting to charities. Stuff like that.) That is all. (I'm on my 35th day of it and earned 27k points which would be enough for 2 months of GP Ultimate!)
