I played the free trial web version, and can see how it hooks you. They’re mad if they don’t port it to every current platform. I’d love to play more of it.

AC origins is great. I love ancient Egyptian history, so exploring all the places was brilliant. Worth it just for the guided tour mode.

I remember that guided tour mode being a thing at the time. That sounded really interesting to me back then. Was it quite in depth / well integrated?

There's footage of the whole think up on Youtube if you want an idea. It's kind of like they turned the whole world into a museum, with landmarks and different areas all coming with attached blurbs and audio recordings telling you about them and the times. Really fun stuff, and an opportunity to treat the map like a big parkour playground without dealing with any of the usual Ubisoft openworld stuff, or any hostiles in the game.

It's the only Assassins Creed that I completed, absolutely loved it. Bayek is among my favourite protagonists of all time.

AC Origins is coming to Game Pass?

As I’ve finally finished Cyberpunk I’m finally going to make a start on Tunic in the near future, I’d probably play AC Origins after that if it’s coming to the service.

I've got a chunk of the way into Origins a couple of times but never finished it. I really enjoyed what I played but I think I always had other things distracting me at the time of playing it and also found the size a bit intimidating!

I don’t think Origins is THAT big, I reckon I’ve been both playing Valhalla and Odyssey for longer and I’m nowhere near the end (I did spend a huge amount of time in Ireland DLC in Valhalla cos I rinsed it, did everything) Odyssey is absolutely strawberry floating massive, I’ve less than half of the world map uncovered and I’m over 50hrs in.

Just checked:
Origins (which I finished) 44hrs
Odyssey 52hrs
Valhalla 68hrs!

I still play Odyssey and Valhalla now, both are installed on my Series X.
