Isn't there like 8 Yakuza games in Gamepass? I mean.... I'm playing Like a Dragon at the mo and I'm in no rush.

I'd prefer something different tbh...

Judgement is the only one that isn't on PC though, so I need it to be on xcloud. I've got all the others on Steam already anyway, except Like A Dragon, which I'm leaving until I've played through the rest, so probably in about 30 years. Also Judgement isn't part of the numbered series, so it's one I can play out of sequence without too much bother, and it's supposed to be tonally pretty different than the mainline Yakuza titles as well.

Like A Dragon is also a spin off, you should check it out.

I know it's not a Kiryu game, but I've read that it still features characters and references plot points from the previous games, so I'd rather leave it until I've played the others still, but definitely looking forward to it, and may cave early. I see it also got touch controls added, and save states transfer from console to PC version, so it's definitely doing more of what I want to see from gamepass titles as well.

Well, now. I was wondering when Farming Simulator 19 was hitting the service after 17 left it. I guess anyone who wants to check it out after all the praising I've done of it can now experience it for themselves.

Thanks to being on Game Pass now I thought I would give the Gears of War series another shot last night. I've not played any of them since the second one came out on 360 (and I don't think I actually finished it either) so I was in two minds about whether I should give it a go from the very first game again, but in the end I thought "screw that" and just jumped into V as the latest option!

The game seems to play almost exactly the same as it did 15 years ago, which is either comforting and familiar or demonstrating an incredible lack of ambition depending on your viewpoint! I enjoyed blasting the Locust Horde a lot, there's a satisfying punch to the action. Unfortunately there seems to be a massive issues with sound, particularly dialog, in the PC version of the game which means that at times it's basically impossible to hear anything the characters are saying! Looking around it seems like a wide spread issue that has not been fixed even though the game has been out for years :fp:

That UFC cover is dreadful. Apart from looking crap (IMO), if you didn’t already know what the game was, you’d have little idea from that artwork.

Another load of games I either can't play or have zero interest in.

Its just not really worth me subscribing to Gamepass anymore.

I played through V a few months back, really enjoyed it. I didn’t come across the sound issue, weird.

Although the PC game pass does have issues with some games, e.g. control not supporting DLSS at launch, achievements not working, gamepad compatibility.

Yeah it doesn't seem to effect everyone but there's plenty of reports of those having sound issues, certainly enough that I can't believe it hasn't been fixed by now.

Apparently it's to do with Dolby Atmos not working properly in some way, basically the centre channel of sound is either broken or really low so anything that is coming mainly through there is basically inaudible!

There are a few suggestions for workarounds so I'm going to give them a try tonight as the game itself seems fun!

Flight Sim pre-load should be available now.

EDIT: Just a 300MB placeholder at the moment.

The full thing is going to be 112GB. FFS.

Ha, yeah, the game would be free, but you have to buy the storage expansion card.

I know you’ll all be heartbroken, judging by how successful my thread about the game was, but Lemnis Gate has been delayed to the end of September.

Leaving early August -

The Touryst, UnderMine, and It Lurks Below

Of the three, The Touryst is the easiest to complete, with an estimate of 4-5 hours. The isometric voxel adventure is generally very simple, although the surfing mini-game achievement 540 Degrees has been known to cause more than a few headaches. It Lurks Below comes in at a 15-20-hour estimate, so you should have plenty of time to knock this one out should you so desire, although whether or not you'll actually want to is another matter, as it's kinda awful. On the flipside, if you haven't yet started the fantastic UnderMine, you'll probably struggle to score the completion inside of two weeks unless you go all out. Like most games in the genre, it's a pretty steep investment — estimates place it around the 100-hour mark — with a combination of luck and skill required to unlock everything.
