Strange Brigade is a nice surprise on Game Pass! The only drawback is that on firing up the game on my new XB1X I'm disappointed to see the UI is practically unreadable unless you're right up against your TV. It's mystifying - it's hardly as if Rebellion don't have the experience to anticipate these issues (and I couldn't find any options in the menus to increase the readability). I know - it's a 'free' game and I should be grateful.
Strange Brigade is a nice little hidden gem on there. Ive been working my way through it and its pretty enjoyable, a bit samey and predictable in places but theres a certain charm to it and Im enjoying it.
Its the kind of game I wouldnt have given a second look normally but when its just there and I can play it then Ill take a punt, its stuff like this that makes me love Game Pass.
Couple of interesting Game Pass stats from Phil Spencer in a gamesidustry.biz 'people of the year' article:
It's been awesome to watch the impact that Xbox Game Pass has had on both players and developers. Xbox Game Pass members play 40 per cent more games than they did before they joined. They discover new genres, new franchises, new storylines - games they would not have played. Games get six times the number of monthly players after entering Xbox Game Pass. The service is helping create and sustain player communities for multiplayer titles and single player games, which make up nearly half of the most played games in the service.

Surely multiplayer and single player games make up all the games on the service? What else is there?
Yeah Ive only played solo and its been fine, some of the areas can be a bit overwhelming, clearly designed for 2 or more people to tackle together, but I havent had any major problems yeat and Im a little over halfway through.

Multiplayer only titles like Sea of Thieves, ESO, The Division and PUBG I think he’s referring to.
Mutant Year Zero looks nice, but, like XCOM 2, suffers from making text so small that it's hard to read. Another one that I'll save until playing on a 4K TV.
3 months of Game Pass is £15.99 on Amazon until midnight. The six month deal on the dashboard works out cheaper, but handy if you only want a few months. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07HFBNJV7/?tag=22

I bought a year this morning on Amazon for £48, seemed like a good price.
