Xbox Game Pass - Still Wakes the Deep, Callisto Protocol, Isonzo, Octopath Traveler 1 & 2, Humanity, Hellblade 2 out now

The zoom picture didn’t work on my LG (it was my first port of call). I will try and dig in to my settings later if you have an LG.

But yeah, that probably works on many set ups.

Edit - found it. Just Scan - Auto. It’s in the aspect ratio menu if you dig in to the setting on the B8s

That basically seems to switch everything else off, and let the console do its thing.

But I guess it differs by TV.

But now, I can actually see the full text and control prompts on stuff! (Suddenly, Beholder is a much better experience, i.e. I can actually play it.)

I gave Maneater a quick try. Seems like a good laugh, but I had to stop playing, because I’m also part-way through Subnautica. Two underwater games simultaneously are too much, but I’ll go back to it.

For those doing the 10k Achievements by 31/5 = 10k Reward points, this is an easy (almost) 1000GS thanks to the admin codes. Guides available online. I remember getting all trophies except 1 on PS4 last year as that required a 2nd person to let you stand on their head or something?

I’m at a bonus 9080 GS/Reward points for the challenge so far. This game will get me to, or very very close to the 10k with the weekend to go

71Gb downloaded in 4hrs so far. So roughly another 2hrs left. 6hrs download to rinse a 1000gs in just an hour and then delete ! :slol:

I'd still like keep it at just scan being on if you have an LG TV, as some game will go off the screen slightly.

Fired up Snowrunner on xcloud, and ended up leaving a review saying that it's a bad driving game and people should play Forza Horizon instead.

I actually quite enjoyed it, playing the opening section, but I was getting a bit of input lag, so I'm downloading the PC version instead so I can play properly. It's really good fun, and feels immediately more satisfying than something like Euro Truck Sim, which is about as far as my exposure to the genre goes.

I'm hooked on Snowrunner. It's one of those games where I'm thinking about it when I'm not playing it. Got a couple of upgrades on the default Chevy (tires and engine) which makes life much easier as well as AWD on the truck. Progression is really, really slow which would usually put me off a game as my gaming time is quite limited but this just has that certain something. The worst bit though was I'd been playing for 5+ hours before I read the codex which said you can swap between trucks on the map, I'd been driving up to each one to swap over. :fp:

Exactly what I found. deep Rock Galactic is a good test for this, the first screen does it badly. It’s also a great multiplayer game that seems to be massively overlooked.

10k Rewards challenge completed last night. Only got 700 Gs out of Conan (22/25 cheevos) in the end as 1 glitched despite doing the correct steps multiple time, another is impossible as the boss doesn’t appear in the updated version of the Admin panel search (Sewer Abomination) and couldn’t be that bothered to go find it in game. The final cheevo I knew I wouldn’t get as it requires a coop partner to let you crush them to death by standing on them and massively over encumbering myself.

Conan left me 70Gs short of the 10k so started up ManEater and unlocked a few on there quite quickly.

It’s great isn’t it? I’m absolutely loving the simple act of conquering tough terrain. Had a great run yesterday where I made it to my destination with about 4L of fuel to spare.

If you just search "sewer" it's definitely in there, I did it yesterday. I'm guessing the other one is the flying one? I had to die and then teleport to the top of the volcano for that one to trigger.

CBA getting that co-op one though.

Will probably get to 5k, and the motivation to play a bunch of rubbish games for a few hours has gone. Still at 44k and will keep building that total. Not sure what i will eventually spend it on, possibly on 3 month gpu just to keep the 36 months rolling.
