The Messenger seems really good - it's like a faster paced Shovel Knight - and well worth trying before it goes.

Saying that, it does suffer from my eternal indie game dilemma of "I'd also quite like to have this handheld on the Switch", and so it's a case of play it for free on the TV or pay about a tenner to have it portable.

It's really good. I completed it a while ago, but there's one last achievement that is a right bastard. I keep going back to it, but now there's a deadline I'm feeling pressured to get it done.

Photek wrote:I'm really enjoying Like A Dragon, the turn based combat is far better for me as I'm not the biggest fans of fighting in games. The end of Chapter 1 has about 30mins of cut scenes...and 5mins of playing... but I hope it's just setting up the story...

I've just hit chapter 4 in about 4 hours and it's really opened up now.

I started Outer Wilds as well this afternoon. Maybe it's because I woke up at 4am for the (terrible) England game, but it isn't grabbing me so far.

I can see why some like the freedom and openness, as well as the timeloop concept, but for me it's just so damn fiddly to move about. Makes navigation and exploration a real chore.

Is the EA Desktop app absolute dogshit for everyone else or am I just unlucky? It just keeps crashing and then unable to even boot up.

Not had it crash, but yes. It is utter dog gooseberry fool.

Ever since I bought the season pass for Wasteland 3 quick resume no longer works.

I've actually never had a problem with Quick Resume, either I'm very lucky or don't play games for long enough, which is quite likely.

Mind, back on GP I do like being able to dip into the odd game here and there, and then just bin it off when I get bored. It does mean, though, that I give up on games faster and move onto something else instead, though.

Tonight, Genesis Noir. I really loved the aesthetic, the inventiveness, the despairing dark humour. But I really hate this kind of game, no matter how cleverly it is done.

I think, however, that I liked the rest of it so much that I might just go on YouTube and watch someone do a playthrough, as it's more the kind of game I enjoy other people playing, than actually playing myself.

Wasn’t convinced by the new direction when it was announced, so I’m glad to get to try it for free.

This past December, Xbox, LeBron James, and Bugs Bunny – the ultimate dream team– invited real-life game fans to submit their ideas for a Space Jam: A New Legacy-inspired video game. We are excited to showcase the same game logo, exclusive in-game character art, and gameplay as is shown in the new trailer.

We were flooded with entries from around the world, and many of them were really great. It was a tough decision. To create the final game, we blended the ideas of two gamers: our youth-competition winner, Narayan from India, and our adult-competition winner, Ricky from the United States. Xbox and Warner Bros. were energized by Ricky’s idea of a classic “beat ’em up” blended with game mechanics that Narayan had suggested. The game is inspired by the upcoming live action/animated feature film with deep reverence for the lively characters in Space Jam: A New Legacy and appreciation of the Tune Squad’s pop culture influence, all while reminiscent of classic arcade games of the 1990s.

The game is launching globally on July 1 exclusively into Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Perks for a limited time.

On July 15, the game will be available free-to-play for all fans through the Microsoft Store on Xbox.
